Looks a lot like the colored sands in the tewantin area. As an expat Aussie I knew it was an Aussie beach - it is just the colors of the sand and the surf. Ahhhhh

It is beautiful, but if you page through the comments you can see a couple of posters mention this photo is NOT rainforest, and the bright greens seem to have been tweaked a bit, I live nearby. I am curious as to where this photo was taken. Like most Americans, I thought of rainforests as tropical, remote places until I spent this summer (winter) in Australia. This scene reminds me a bit of sites along the Great Ocean Road along the southern coast of Victoria. Sandstone cliffs go right down to the Southern Ocean with temperate rainforests just over the hill, almost down to the coast. I've more recently been in Queensland where wet tropical rainforests also go down to the coast -- but this photo doesn't look like that kind of a rainforest. I disagree with the resort comment previously. I've stayed in resorts this summer where the natural areas are not overly developed and there is a lot of respect and concern for preserving the natural areas. I think sustainable development is a more reasonable idea than simple avoidance of natural areas. Annette

rainforest resort. that's a contradiction in concepts. the rainforest is something you are not supposed to modify, very fragile. it would be very depressing to have this on my screen, to be constantly reminded of how people encroach on it.
