Abstract

The Trash Tower has several unique features; the way the Trash Tower Base and the Trash Tower Lid interact is also of a unique nature. The interlocking flap-design of the Trash Tower Lid works in such a way as to secure the Trash Tower Lid onto the Trash Tower Base and keep the Trash Tower Liner in place. Additionally, the bottom of the base is also of a unique design because it is bottomless and this allows the base to be pulled over the full liner, so that the liner does not break when being lifted out of the base. This design is the whole of my invention and is unique unto itself.

Description

  • The Trash Tower is the next-generation trash receptacle that is specifically designed for managing refuse and cleanup for special events and commercial spaces that have a high concentration of consumer traffic. The invention is unique because of the following features and functions—from top to bottom:
  • The lid that provides strength and structural integrity to the frame has a circular cut-out that tells consumers that this is the preferred destination for their refuse disposal
  • The lid slides easily over the frame and “locks” the plastic trash liner into place—the liner will not slip or slide when the lid is in place—unlike a lined garbage can
  • The white cardboard panels offer a lightweight, disposable solution that can carry messages, logos and other images that elevate the consumer experience
  • The bottomless frame allows for easy disposal of both the filled trash bag and the Trash Tower™ after the event—the event coordinator simply moves the filled trash bag to a larger receptacle and folds the biodegradable and recyclable frame for recovery
  • The Trash Tower™ is an elegant, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective solution for trash disposal. Instead of hanging trash bags over doorknobs, that become clumsily filled with cans, bottles, plates, food, liquids, paper and other refuse, frequently spilling to the ground, the Trash Tower™ provides a framed, stable receptacle. As opposed to an open cardboard box, the unique design makes for:
  • Easy assembly—just fold along the creased lines and perforations—the tabs simply lock everything into place
  • No mess, no spills—the trash liner bag is secure and strong—Trash Tower™ has selected an extra strong polyethylene 50 gallon bag that resists tears, punctures and breaks and is held in place by the interlocking lid
  • Promotional opportunities—the white panels of the Trash Tower™ frame create advertising and brand reinforcement prospects
  • Fast cleanup—the cinch-tie quickly and securely closes the filled trash liner bag—at the end of the function or event, the lightweight, bottomless Trash Tower™ frame is lifted over the filled trash bag, facilitating routine removal
  • The primary target audiences that will benefit from this invention are civic organizations that sponsor outdoor events, commercial entities that cater to consumers in an unstructured environment where food and beverages are present, and households that are looking for an alternative to a plastic garbage can for tastefully complementing special occasions like parties, weddings, graduations and anniversaries.

Claims (1)

What is claimed is:
1. My invention is predicated on the need for organizing trash in an efficient and cost effective manner for social gatherings when rubberized or metal trash receptacles are not appropriate. The design of the Trash Tower Base and the Trash Tower Lid, when interlocked secures the Trash Tower Liner into a fixed position. This is accomplished through the interlocking flap-design of the Trash Tower Lid and the way that it fits securely onto the Trash Tower Base. Additionally, I claim the bottomless base, which allows the base to slide over a full liner so that the liner will not tear when being removed. The hole in the lid identifies the Trash Tower as a trash receptacle. The white color of the Trash Tower makes it elegant and sufficient for a temporary application. Upon exhaustive market research, we have determined that there is nothing available to businesses or consumers of a similar nature. This design and product solution is truly unique.
