The German press has recently released the first Alfa Romeo 169 info as it has speculated on the successor of the Alfa 166. Apparently, they have strong indications that the future Alfa Romeo 169 will be based on the new, 2101, Chrysler 300C. This means the Alfa Romeo 169 will have the same general proportions as the 2012 300C, but with a different exterior styling, of course. The Alfa Romeo 169 is expected to leave behind the traditional design of the 4-door sedan in favor of a modern four-door coupe body style.
The Alfa Romeo 169 will keep the rear-wheel-drive architecture and most probably the engine line-up too. There are various indications that the Alfa Romeo 169 might have a small V8 petrol engine under its hood, capable of developing around
400 hp. This means the Alfa Romeo 169 will probably be sold in the USA too.
