Salem- Armand V. Gagne, 89, of Peabody passed away Wednesday morning at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Claire (LeBoeuf) Gagne.

Born in Dover, NH, Armand was the son of the late Archie and Yvonne (Fecteau) Gagne. Armand joined the U.S. Air Force serving honorably for four years during the Korean War. Once back home Armand worked as a letter carrier for thirty-three years for the city of Salem retiring Jan. 1, 1988. Armand was also appointed to serve on the planning board for the City of Salem. Above all Armand loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Claire (LeBoeuf) Gagne, Armand is survived by his son, Michael Gagne and his wife Linda of Tewksbury, MA, his two granddaughters, Danielle Courtois and her husband Derek of Billerica, MA, and Courtney Gagne of Tewksbury, MA, his two great-grandchildren Derek Michael and Olivia. Armand was predeceased by his son Mark Gagne who passed in 2015.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass in the St. Thomas the Apostle Church, North St. on the Salem/Peabody line on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
