H.R GIGER material

Anyone know of any good tutorials on how to do an alien’esque material like the H.R Giger alien architecture?

The effect of Giger’s work would be in the details, not the texture…all of the edges greebles, and repetition would need to be modeled.
The texture is a subtle human skin blended into metallic shaders with grunge maps added…

Like what has been sayed before,you need to sculpting/modeling the whole “world”.Giger was an Airbrusher.The pictures that has been posted was airbrushed.He mainly airbrushed with colors like black,siena ocree type of colors and white for highlights,like in this posted art.

If you want to make the movie art,like prometheus alien ect.then you can go for a dark metallic material,with some dirt and rust.(have seen some making of alien)

as @pixelgrip and @Tvaroog said…MODELING…the texture Blending as well as Grunge and Lighting will punch out the details…here are just some pipes on a plane…Lights add the depth to the pipe array and metallic gets its own Grunge…
