We have an important update regarding Lafitte Park: 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥, 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.
 
This closure is necessary to allow for the newly seeded grass on the freshly completed bank work to take root.
 
Adequate grass coverage will help stabilize the bank and ensure the longevity of the park.
 
We apologize for the inconvenience, but ask for your patience and cooperation during this closure. Rest assured, we are working diligently to complete the necessary tasks to reopen the park as soon as possible.
We understand the excitement and anticipation of the brand-new fishing pier and enhanced accessibility features for those with mobility challenges.
