Summary[edit]
| Description | Cool. Lijnbaan/Korte Lijnbaan Lijnbaan was the new shopping area in the Reconstruction Plan west of the old town. It meant a revolution in urban reconstruction after the war. Instead of shops with apartments above on either side of a roadway, shops are located on pedestrians only streets like the later shopping malls. The stores are stocked from expedition streets at the back. Because later every suburb in Europe got a pedestrian mall in the sixties, it now seems hardly original anymore. Arch.
