Serving the Community
I have been a vital part of this community for many years. I will continue working tirelessly to make it a better place.
I collaborate with various churches and the NAACP, attend County Commissioner meetings, help candidates with other campaigns, and many other community outreach activities. I am a member of Down Home North Carolina, and current interim President for Senior Democrats of Cabarrus County.
Serving our community is my heart's greatest passion and most fulfilling achievement!
Education
The kids are our future!
We are facing a teacher/bus driver shortage, our schools are underfunded, vital school programs are being removed, and our bright pupils are facing senseless violence.
Let's advocate for their rights to safe schools! With reliable transportation systems, adequate funding, and resources to support higher education and better mental health.
Housing
Our community is lacking affordable housing, sufficient home buyer programs, and rent/mortgage control. These issues are increasing the divide between us being able to foster safe communities for everyone.
Let's unite and advocate for more affordable housing, more programs aimed to help everyone acquire safe housing, and build functional relationships with our community developers.
Healthcare
Our elders are at risk, medicine costs are constantly increasing, insurance company exploitations, and our mental health care/interventions are failing the community.
I am seeking affordable healthcare plans that are accessible for everyone, early mental health interventions, and healthcare education for the community.
Economic Justice
Our community has fallen victim to high taxes, non-livable wages, lack of opportunities, and lack of sufficient transportation.
I am excited to stimulate our local economy by creating viable legislation to establish a higher minimum wage, offering economics/financial literacy courses in our schools, holding elected officials accountable for the corporate greed diminishing our community, and working with Public Transportation.
