MADISON, N.J. – After becoming the first team in league history to go undefeated in conference play and win the tournament championship, the Drew University men's soccer team was honored with all four of the Landmark Conference's annual awards.  Aidan Cserhat (Taos, N.M.) was named both Rookie and Offensive Player of the Year, while his brother, Niko Cserhat (Taos, N.M.) was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year.  In addition, Lenny Armuth was recognized as the Landmark Coach of the Year.

Aidan Cserhat has scored a league-leading 20 goals in 20 games this season, a total that ranks fourth nationally.  He had a nine-game goal-scoring streak from Sept. 10-Oct. 7 and was a three-time Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week.  Aidan tallied four game-winning goals and accounted for the only scoring in a game three times.

The MVP of the Landmark Tournament, Aidan is the second player in three years to be named both Rookie and Offensive Player of the Year in the same season (Elizabethtown's Gilbert Waso received both awards in 2015).  He's the first Ranger to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors since Matt Greenberg in 2010, and becomes the third player in program history to be recognized.  He joins teammates Andy Imoh (2016) and Benjamin Audi (2014) as Landmark Rookies of the Year on the active roster.

Niko Cserhat is the anchor of a defensive unit that has allowed just 12 goals all season.  Drew has shut out its opponent 10 times and enters the NCAA Tournament with a 59 goal differential.  Niko has started all 20 games and played more than 90 percent of the team's minutes this season.  He's the second player in program history to be chosen as Landmark Defensive Player of the Year, and the first since Michael Pezzutti in 2014.

Armuth receives his second Landmark Coach of the Year nod after guiding the Rangers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2008.  Drew has the nation's highest winning percentage (.975) and enters the NCAA Tournament as one of three remaining unbeaten teams.  The Rangers rank fourth nationally in scoring (3.55 goals per game) and also boast the league's stingiest defense, surrendering just 0.60 goals per contest.

He was previously recognized by the Landmark Conference as part of the Coaching Staff of the Year in 2009.  Armuth is also a seven-time MAC Freedom Conference Coach of the Year and was the National Coach of the Year in 2003, when Drew advanced to the NCAA Championship Game.

Drew (19-0-1) enters the NCAA Tournament on a 16-game winning streak and takes on Franklin & Marshall (11-5-2) in the first round at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in Williamsport, Pa.  The winner then meets either host Lycoming (18-2-0) or Lehman (13-4-1) in the second round at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
