MADISON, N.J. - Drew University men's and women's soccer head coaches Lenny Armuth and Christa Racine will be recognized for 25 years of service during Ranger Weekend on Oct. 12.

Both Armuth and Racine will be honored in a separate ceremonies during halftime of their respective games versus Elizabethtown College. Members of both 1994 soccer teams will also attend the ceremonies. The men's game starts at 1 p.m. while the women's match kicks off at 4 p.m.

Both mentors took over during the 1994 season and have made an indelible mark in the history of Drew athletics.

Armuth arrived at The Forest after one season as an assistant coach at Rutgers University and a highly-successful stint as the head coach of the women's soccer team at Kean University. He inherited a strong program at Drew and took it to the next level, guiding the Rangers to eight conference championships and nine appearances in the NCAA Division III tournament. He nearly led his team to a national championship in 2003, when the Rangers advanced all the way to the Division III title game. Armuth also directed Drew to the Elite Eight in 2002 and the Sweet 16 in 2017. In addition, the Rangers have captured three ECAC titles under Armuth's watch.

For his career, Armuth has posted a career record of 364-125-50 for an impressive winning percentage of .723. Entering the 2019 season, he ranked as the 11th-winningest active Division III men's soccer coach in terms of victories.

After a standout playing career at Rutgers, Racine has dedicated her entire post-collegiate career to Drew University. Just months after graduating, she signed on as an assistant coach of the Rangers women's soccer team before accepting the head-coaching role one year later. Taking on a program in just its eighth year of existence, she transformed it into a consistent winner, resulting in 15 conference playoff appearances. She guided Drew to its first-ever postseason berth when it made the MAC playoffs in 1995, and just two years later she directed the Rangers to their first MAC title and NCAA Division III tournament appearance. Her teams would also capture an ECAC championship in 2010 and a Landmark Conference title and another NCAA berth in 2013.

Racine has recorded a 258-199-45 record, and she ranked 43rd in career victories among active Division III women's soccer coaches entering the season. She has also served as Drew's Director of Athletics since the spring of 2017.

Both the men's and women's soccer teams visit Catholic University in a Landmark Conference doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 1 and 4 p.m., respectively.
