Product Review Summary

This is the second bike I have reviewed from this company. This one is called the Pathfinder. A couple of months ago, I reviewed their Explorer, which is in the same price range as this one - between $1,000 and $2,000 for off-road bikes. The Explorer has the best performing bike in this price range, and so far the Pathfinder is doing pretty well too. The Pathfinder costs $1,899. There's a lot of competition in this price range, so let's see how it does.

Starting off with the speed test, the Pathfinder has a 750 watt, 1100 brushless gear hub motor in the rear wheel. It is powered by a 48 volt, 20 amp hour lithium battery, which is the second largest of 21 amp hours. The battery is built into the frame, which looks nice and sleek, but it can be removed with the two keys they give you. It takes five hours to recharge and has a rating of 900 charge cycles. It has a weight capacity of 350 pounds, which is average for other bikes in this price range. Be Cool doesn't have a speed rating for this bike, so that's why I'm here. I'm going to show you how fast this can go on all five of the pedal assist levels. Okay, let's see how fast this can go. Pedal assist level one, first is one to six. Two is eleven. Three is seventeen

The Pathfinder can reach a top speed of 24 miles per hour on pedal assist, which is two miles per hour less than the average for bikes in this price range. The separation between the different speed modes is good, giving a wide range of options for how fast you want to go. The bike's speedometer is accurate, as it was close to what the app was displaying. The acceleration test showed that the Pathfinder has strong but smooth acceleration, and it takes about 20-30 feet for it to ramp up to its top speed. The motor sounds good, but it seems to have a limiter that stops it from reaching its full potential.
