    The latest reactions

The Princes of Asturias have received the news in the Palace and have canceled all their commitments. The Royal House has not issued any statement because it is a private matter and simply has asked for “respect and prudence” for the family Ortiz Rocasolano. The Queen, traveling in Indonesia, and the King in Germany, are shocked by the news. Dona Sofía, with her hands on her face, has burst into tears as soon as she learns what has happened: “What a pity, what a pity.” At this moment the Queen has already spoken with the Princess and the mother of the deceased, Paloma Rocasolano, to give them the condolences and despite the fact that the Princes have told her to continue her official visit, she has decided to suspend it and will return tomorrow to Madrid. For his part, the King will also return tonight to Spain.

Paloma Rocasolano, mother of Erika Ortiz, learned of the death of her daughter when she was working at the Nursing Union (SATSE) in Madrid. After being informed of the news, Paloma Rocasolano left work, although her colleagues could not determine where she went. This morning, the father of the deceased, Jesús Ortiz, also came to work on the company’s Communication Studio, where they only told Europa Press that he had left. The father of Erika’s daughter, Antonio Vigo, is “very affected” and is with their daughter Carla, that does not know of the tragic incident.

Numerous curious and media professionals have moved to Calle Almendros to learn more about the death of Doña Letizia Ortiz’s younger sister.
