2007 Spyker F8-VII Sutil

Spyker F1 Team was formed by Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker Cars in September 2007 by buyout of Midland F1, which, it its turn, was created in 2006 by purchasing Jordan Grand Prix. The 2007 was the first (and last) full F1 season for the team. So, the F8-VII was the only car constructed by Spyker F1 in their own right. The car was powered by Ferrari V8 naturally aspirated engine and was painted in  Dutch orange-and-silver livery. The drivers were Christijan Albers, who drove in 2006 for Midland, and German Adrian Sutil, F1 debutant and Midland test driver in 2006. Albers was out-performed by Sutil and after British GP was released from his Spyker contract, due to a lack of sponsorship money. His place was taken by Markus Winkelchock for one-off drive, and then Sakon Yamamoto filled the seat. Midway of the 2007 season the “B” specification of F8-VII was launched, and Sutil scored Spyker’s one and only point in the Japanese Grand Prix at the wheel of F8-VIIB.
