Dutch Uniform Tunic – ‘Buitenmodel’ pre 1940

Original pre 1940 Dutch tunic (so-called Buitenmodel) named to 1st Lieutenant G.J. Hales who served the Medical Service ‘Geneeskundige Dienst’. This tunic is a privately purchased tunic in field green-grey woolen cloth. The tunic has blue branch-colour piping which indicates Infantry. The tunic has two metal silver stars attached to each collar tip which indicates the rank of a 1e luitenant, medical service insignia are  hand embroiderd to both sides of the collar. The tunic is fitted with makers label, named to G.J. Hales and maker marked Gebroeders Gerlach, Utrecht and dated 1939. The tunic shows normal traces and in overall very good condition. Very nice tunic!
