SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A woman called 911 after seeing a drone with a camera hovering near her Thursday, police said.
The drone hit the roof of her house and crashed.
No one came forward to claim the drone while police were on scene.
An officer seized the drone, which is being held as found property.
Police couldn't find any information on the drone identifying the owner.
Springfield Police said there is currently nothing in Oregon law that makes it a crime to fly a drone. However, the operator of the drone may be civilly liable under certain circumstances for flying over a person's property at less than 400 feet.
