Food was delicious. They sold out of rice so fast because it was so good. The beef, lamb and chicken kabobs were juicy and well seasoned.
The lamb rice was delicious, and had sweet raisins and carrots.
Loved the hospitality, the food and the people. Highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aram H.Oakland, CA2117Dec 11, 2023
An Afghani Uber driver recommended this place during COVID. It was just expanding.
This is the most whole food place in all of San Diego. Bread is real bread baked fresh. All of the dishes are delicious and made from fresh ingredients. They hand make their ice cream there from scratch!
You must go there. It's imperative for reconstruction and harmony of the universe you go meet the people at Kunduz and thank them for amazing food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Youssef A.San Diego, CA16251Dec 9, 2023
Great authentic Afghan food. One of the best Uzbeki Qabli.
Lamb kebab is definitely 5 star and a must try.
Food does not disappoint.
Afghan ice cream is on point.
5 star all the way.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vince B.El Cajon, CA1314856Mar 4, 2024
If you are in the mood for Authentic Afghan food, this is the place! Even my Afghani friend who has a brother who owns an Afghan restaurant speaks highly of Kunduz Kabob.
They have a good selection of highly flavorful traditional dishes. I will definitely return and bring friends and family next time!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kevin K.Corona, CA0246Apr 14, 2024
The overall Food was okay. I recommend to try it once. I think you better stay away from their chicken dishes. The Afghan ice cream was not special at all (do not recommend)
Service was not good at all. Many server walking around but attentive but nice when they speak to you face to face. We ordered the family plate for three, they brought the food but no plates. We had to ask three times and they brought the little plates.
Ambiance was okay. It is different for non-Afghans.
The restaurant did look well sanitized.
Price was a hit high for me for What we ordered but it might be okay for a no- Afghan.
I think they are closed Wednesdays.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 17, 2023
Super yummy! We came on the way back from Sycuan. The portions are large! We got the lamb tikka kabob (no rice) and chive bolani and two bottles of water, and we sat outside in a booth. Everything was delicious! The servers don't all speak English, but they're all nice. The menu is on a QR code on the tables inside.
When we ordered, the cashier told us the rice would take 30 minutes and asked if we wanted to wait. We passed due to our schedule, and we're glad we did just because the amount of food we ordered was more than enough! The rice did sound very yummy though - we'll have to come back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 20, 2023
I can't even describe to you how delicious and amazing this food is. It's one of those small hole in the wall places that are Michelin star quality. If you're looking for some of the best kebab and you want to try Afghan food? This is the place to go... I would highly recommend anyone Who is craving a very good high-quality kebab to go here...

The food was absolutely delicious. It started with a chicken soup and then a cucumber salad. The server was nice and our items came out promptly. The restaurant was a cute place that had plenty of seating and was clean. The food was so full of flavor! I will definitely be back soon!

Excellent hidden gem for authentic afghani food! Pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the dishes at this restaurant. The outside of the building seems like a hole-in-the wall type place but the food is absolutely delicious. Will be returning for sure. This time tried the beef kebab and the bolani, both of which are highly recommended and flavorful. Will be returning for sure

Came here over the weekend after it was recommended by a friend. I don't come over to this area often but this place was worth it! I went inside and sat at a table. The server came out pretty quickly to make recommendations since it was our first time being there. He was super helpful! We placed our order with him and he let us know it will take a little longer than normal since they had a couple large orders. This was no problem at all because we saw how much food some of those orders had!
The food came out within 30 minutes and was worth the wait! He brought us salads and the sauces to start. I ordered the lamb kabob and rice. The lamb was delicious! And the rice was also amazing! For the table we shared a Chive Bolani which was delicious in the yogurt sauce! For the long wait he also brought us yogurt drinks on the house which was so nice. This is definitely a place I'd come back to or even to pick up!Helpful 11Thanks 1Love this 10Oh no 1
