What a hidden gem. Was looking for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Sunnyvale is pretty dead on Sundays, mostly fast food places open. It's located on a golf course close to Moffet Field.

It's actually the apres golf cafe as many golfers were having beers and comparing scores. Super casual vibe. We were met by the friendly hostess/server and could sit inside booth, inside table, or out on the patio. We chose the patio which was overlooking the golf course.

We ordered a BLT, Monte Cristo, Bacon Cheeseburger, steak quesadillas, and chili fries. Everything was sooo good. The Monte Cristo was fantantic. One of best I've ever had. Quesadillas were huge with chunks of steak. All the portions were huge so we took half home.

The service was great. The prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend Macara.

I was looking for a place for lunch near my workplace, that's how I found this. We came here at 12 and we waited like 45min to get our food because there was a big party in the other room. I wish we could get the food faster because we had to get back to work.
I had the steak quesadilla and garlic fries. Everything was fresh! The food turns out to be really delicious and worth the money, highly recommend!

I really wanted to try this place because of all the awesome reviews, so my husband and I finally made a trip out here one day for a quick late lunch. Parking wasn't too big of an issue but it was really weird/awkward when entering because it's impossible to tell where the "front/entrance" is - I assume this is not an issue for all the golfing regulars, but we were a bit stumped before finding the server in the bar area.

I ordered nachos while my husband opted for a skirt steak sandwich with garlic fries. I ordered my nachos with jalapenos on the side but still ended up with jalapenos sprinkled all over my plate. Meanwhile, my husband got a side of jalapenos with his sandwich...

Then when we tried his garlic fries thinking the sprinkles on top were garlic pieces, they tasted like grated cheese...when we asked the server about it, she reassured us the fries were indeed garlic flavored. Since we couldn't really taste much garlic flavor and they charged us extra for it, we were not very pleased.

Excellent all around. Excellent food, excellent prices, excellent service, and I mean EXCELLENT SERVICE, warm, friendly, kind, and DELICIOUS American food. I had the turkey club and fries, bf had the bbq burger with fries, and we shared a chili cheese nachos. Epic and tasted wonderful. Big portions, bring your appetite! They also have daily specials!

This restaurant is located at the Sunnyvale Golf Course and this place didn't disappoint. It's got a sort of low-key dive type of feel but the waitress was super responsive, the food comes out quickly, and it's great. I would highly recommend the Turkey sandwich, the sourdough bread is really great.

Had a quick lunch before tee off. Turkey club is delicious with good quality ingredients and crunchy bread. French fries are fresh and crispy. Chicken rice soup is tasty. Good service too. Will definitely come back.

So fun! Great food, nice patio, friendly staff, awesome service. And very good prices. Excited to go back!

Thank goodness for Yelp, for helping me find this place! The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered this famous turkey club with onion rings and could only handle half as the portions were generous. Two people can easily split this.
The ambiance is has a fun, sports bar feel with karaoke Tuesday and Friday nights is a plus!
Jennifer and her colleague are super sweet and friendly and would make you feel right at home in this little nook tucked in the corner of the golf course parking lot.
Can't wait to come back and try the nachos. Seriously, all the food looks like a sports bar menu come true. So come and check them out!

Not open at 9:49 as advertised wasted my time driving out here when I could have gotten brunch at another place

Great atmosphere, excellent drinks, Jennifer is the absolute best. The food here is the real hidden gem--everything is made in-house and tastes absolutely fantastic.

Jennifer always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. We told her we would come with a big party one day and she made sure to organize a great seating area that was all adorned with seasonal decor. This will become one of my regular go-to spots.
