My first visit...great room and atmosphere. Friendly players, the staff was great, and the dealers solid!

There's a reason Lake Charles poker is hurting - Texas is running the table when it comes to Texas Holdem. Thanks to recent legislation interpretation of a what a club is, poker rooms are populating everywhere in the Houston area.

Absolute best & nuttiest part of the Texas Card House are the every 30 minute double board Omaha bomb pots in the cash games - It's as freaking nutty as it sounds. 20 years of playing and I was introduced to this game for the 1st time - 2k$ to fly inside the pot with 5 players going into the river is not too uncommon.

Reasonable time rates instead of a rake. Security is good. They have a very obtainable bad Beat Jackpot that was recently 50k.

Card room is modern, clean, and everything is very professional. The quality of players is unfortunately not as easy as other venues, there are sharks in the water.

Instead of driving 3 hours to Lake Charles for a Houstononian its an easy 20 min drive.

Check to the club, just don't check the pot ;)

I'm from Oakdale, Ca so it was a new experience going to a card room with a membership. The staff was extremely welcoming and got a seat in a 1-3 NL HOLDEM game. They do a $10/player bomb pot of PLO with two boards every dealer change and 1 pot of PLO/round. The NL HOLDEM game plays bigger than your normal 1-3 NL HOLDEM game. I would say it plays more like a 5-5 NL. Decent action and great staff. Had a great time playing Texas HOLDEM in Texas!

First time playing cards in Texas, great atmosphere and everyone from the players to the dealers were are nice. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town!
