This is our second season here for lessons and we can't say enough good these about this place. Located in winter park off Aloma. We started when my daughter was 3.5 and the coaches were awesome with her. We've had several different coaches and all have been wonderful.
They have 2 "slopes". I know what you're thinking... skiing/snowboarding in FL?! Yeah, I was equally surprised but it's true. The slopes are giant turf covered treadmills that are wet so they're slippery like snow.
We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone that wants to get a lesson in for half the price of on the mountain!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 14, 2019
Our family is thinking about hitting the slopes next year during the odd off week of ski week. A Washington native and my husband New Yorker both familiar with the slopes left our little one as the wildcard. A friend of ours told us about the camp and explained its safe way for the children to test/learn the feeling of skiing. We were thrilled with the results.
Upon walking in there are two adults waiting to sign your camper in and one adult supervising them before hitting the slopes. They are given helmets, sized up for their boots, and skis. Than it's off to the races in teaching the little ones the safety basics of the slopes. Keep in mind they have them wear long sleeves and pants not for temperature purposes but for abrasion. We had our kid in heat tech gear the first day and she kindly came home and asked for lighter material.
There is also simple arts and crafts and snacks provided during their time. Overall we were really pleased that besides a bruise and a scratch our kid had a blast and graduated to Blue slopes within a week of attending. We're excited to come back and check out the slopes ourselves!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Mar 13, 2019
I loved my experience at the Winterclub Indoor Ski and Snowboard. After knocking another skier up off of his feet last year in Lake Tahoe I thought that it was a good idea to invest in some additional training before my ski trip this year. Winterclub instructs and improves all skill levels so it was the perfect place for everyone. They offer private or group lessons seven days a week
I visited Winterclub with the intention of signing up for two private lessons. While there I changed my mind and bought a package deal that offered six lessons at a cut rate of $472.00. The private lessons are scheduled for one hour. In the hour you are ten minutes on and ten minutes off. During the ten minutes off your instructor teaches another client. I liked this set up because it gave me the opportunity to mentally absorb the lesson and have a fresh approach when it was my turn to go back up. I had four different instructors and every one of them was super professional. At all times they were completely centered on me and watching like a hawk. Nothing got past them as they continuously tweaked my efforts. I never felt overwhelmed and was given a ton of positive reinforcement.
At Winterclub the instructors can control the speed of the "hill" and ski along side, behind or in front of you to emphasize or enhance the instruction. It's a good time. I will definitely be back every year before my ski vacation to warm up and learn more.Helpful 49Thanks 0Love this 53Oh no 0 - Rich H.GA, GA09Nov 27, 2022
Facilities and staff were amazing. Had my two boys 12 and 16, that wanted to learn snowboarding before our Christmas trip to Colorado. They had never been on a board before and within minutes the instructor had them up and learning. After their second day of lessons , they will be able to tackle the snow. We are going back for one more refresher before we fly out, but that is more for fun than instruction. Instructors are super patient and very knowledgeable about the equipment and instruction strategies. Sooo much better than at the ski resorts. And a LOT less expensive than getting instruction at the ski slopes. I cannot say enough good things about our experience.
**TIP** the entrance is around back and it is the double set of doors. Signage is minimal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - I will f.Philadelphia, PA0310Apr 29, 2023
Huge slope, beginners stay away! Awesome customer service, food, and resort quality. This is a must have on your bucket list!

No stars would have been a better choice for this review. The owner is arrogant, rude, condescending and disrespectful. You would think when so many are weighing how to spend their money, customer service would be paramount to a business owner. This women could care less if you ever come back to her business, and she lets you know it. If you have seen her, you know exactly what I am referring too.
Winterclub was understaffed and running 30 minutes behind schedule. The instructor was overwhelmed and had no idea how to help the 5 people who were staring at her wondering what we were doing. You could see the disorganisation and feel the tension. I was not interested in paying $128.00 for a total of a 30 minute lesson with all of the turmoil. I asked if I could cancel and that started a very heated conversation with the owner.
In particular, I was quite taken aback by their policy. They require you to come in 15 minutes early for your lesson. BUT....if you are late that is perfectly fine, you will have your appointment and everyone behind you can wait. So for the people who are courteous and respectful of others, here is my lesson to you call before you go or you to could wind up waiting a long time.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tara V.Fort Lauderdale, FL91738Aug 14, 2021

My husband surprised me with an hour lesson here in preparation for a trip up north. It was both of ours first time using skis.
We were greeted right away by name, so that was nice. Walking in they have a large seating area with tables and chairs and a small cafe serving italian gelato and coffee items. The clerk immediately took us around to the back of the building following signs to "the slopes". There was a whole other area with the two large "snow" treadmills, a virtual ski area, and shelves full of boots, helmets and skis. Another clerk, who was also really nice, sat us down and fitted us for boots, teaching us the proper fit.
Once the appointment before us finished, we were quickly given skis and put on the slope. The instructor, a women who I can't remember the name, was also really nice. She got right into it with us, working with our pace. They do "10 minutes on, 10 minutes off", so after 10 minutes we got off to recover and another family got on the slopes. That would be the main negative- we thought booking an hour we would have exclusive attention of the instructor, but it was shared with another family.
After our hour, though, we felt it was worth it. Having experience feeling the boots, skis, stance, all was beneficial. By the end of our time we could move up and down the slope, ploughing and turning with relative ease. My husband fell once but didn't get hurt. The instructor has full control of the speed of the slope and can stop or slow it down depending on our needs. It is $59 per person per hour, so its not cheap. But for never having experienced it before, the lesson definitely was valuable. We plan to go again before our trip.Helpful 14Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Nikki T.Austin, TX70173219May 13, 2017

I haven't skied in over a decade, what does a Florida girl do when her husband's books a ski trip. You got it! She goes to Winterclub Indoor Ski and Snowboar. I was extremely nervous, but was put at easy. No pressure to do more then I was comfortable with. I did so so with my first lesson. However I was determined to do better and book a second private lesson. My second lesson went amazingly. By the end I was confident and turning. My only regret was I didn't start the lessons earlier. As to other reviews about customer service. I had no issues. Yes , I did book both of my appointments/ lesson online. Anyway this is how I book most of my appointments are these days. I will definitely use them again.
