Q:
Is this place still really busy? If I don't want to wait for a table (lunch for 4) on a Saturday, when should I arrive?
A:
It's busy, but if you arrive prior to the busy times, you should be fine. So for lunch, either early (1100ish) or later (1400/2ish).

Positives: Open 24 hours. Large menu they execute decently well.
Negatives, other places do everything they do better, but no one place is as versatile {so a con thruns into a positive I guess} Again, aside fromt he 24 hour issue, I prefer other spots.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason J.Chula Vista, CA171675Jan 21, 2019
Pretty good authentic Korean food. If you like the mainstream Korean BBQ they have it but looking for traditional Korean food they have that too. Open 24/7. Lunch specials are nicely priced.

Now I'm not going to try to pretend I'm an expert on Korean food or anything, but my experience here was pretty good.
I love how the female staff are in traditional Korean dress, it sort of makes you feel like you're immersing yourself in the culture. They're also very friendly. Well maybe except for when they cook for you, they just do their job nice and efficiently.
As for the food, I can't be one to compare. All I know is it was good. Plenty of delicious side dishes along with awesome Korean barbecue. We got the special package that included lobster and shrimp along with your pork, beef, and chicken. My party consisted of three people and the course was for two people. Was still enough food for all of us, but I didn't walk out with a full stomach. That's a good thing for me though because I just ended up going over to Breeze next door to get some dessert. My favorites were the kimchi and most of the meats.
Yum.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dynne S.Washington, DC37396368Apr 26, 2016
I love the Seolleongtang and kimchi jiggae here.
I've been coming here for many years but just noticed their breakfast and lunch specials - - which are the best deals in town for Korean food in terms of value, quality and price. Plus this place is open 24/7 which is impressive considering how many other restaurants have opened up nearby. The servers wear traditional clothing and the decor is fun (touristy), so it's a great place to bring visitors / foreigners.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 1, 2018
Expect a wait during "rush hour" -- there are grill tables and regular tables, I wanted Korean BBQ pork belly and briquet, nicely crisped so wait time 30 minutes for a table. Small table w 6 chairs, lettuce wraps provided, water, tea... Coke & sprite- by the can. Miso and white rice came w the meal too. Bulgoli came out on a sizzle plate instead of cooking on the grill. With 6 people in the party, it was better to be at an a la carte place then AYCE where they charge each person-- we had 3 people who didn't eat like the last supper and the world is ending appetites, so when the check came, it was perfect and less than if we had eaten at an AYCE place. Service -- must hail and repeat request but that's pretty normal for Asian places. Nice and smiley, I tip in cash but pay by debit card. Once you finish you have about 10 min after they take the check and then they come by and ask you to leave in Korean... since they're other patrons standing outside they wanted to clear the table. So no lingering!!! Food was great. Needed dental floss and smelled like meat when I got home-- dogs definitely barking and howling when I walked by-- will go back again and eat like it's my last meal on earth.

With 3 people we waited 20(ish) minutes which isn't too bad since there is a super nice bakery next door! We went on a Sunday at (6:30p (ish)) I'd recommend if it was any other day to arrive at non-dinner hours.
The menu is very very extensive so you can pretty much get whatever you want. We ordered the Kalbi beef short ribs marinated in sauce, Hae Mul Pa Jun (seafood korean pancake 14.95) and a Bibim Bap. The Kalbi has always been a favorite of mine and Yechon has done a wonderful job with the marination. It comes with a bowl of rice and some lettuce for you to build a lettuce+beef+rice+pickled whatevers. The seafood pancake was also super tasty. It was almost the size of a medium pizza to put it in perspective. The outside had a nice crispy coating and the inside has a variety of vegetables, squid and shrimp. My recommendation for this dish is to eat it while hot and with the soy sauce dipping sauce because when you wait too long it looses it's crispy-ness. The Bibim Bap was alright (not the best) but it definitely filled us up. It had a variety of toppings: fried egg, pickled radishes, minced beef, bean sprouts etc. As always, we got a bunch of side dishes pickled cucumbers, radishes etc.
The restaurant was overall very clean and the waitresses were very attentive. Our drinks were never empty. There is also (very conveniently) a buzzer at the table, when pressed it'll alert the waitresses that service has been requested. Private parking lot but is limited.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 15, 2013
I'm not a huge fan of Korean food, but Yechon is very good, and I'd gladly go again. I was there with a group of 10, so we did family style and I got to try a little bit (OK maybe a lot) of everything.
By far, the casserole (spicy noodle soup) was my favorite. Bulgogi and short ribs were also excellent. I would not get the seafood pancake again, because I found it a little too heavy and greasy, but most people liked it.
For such a crowded restaurant, service was surprisingly fast. They have little buzzers on the table, which helps a lot, because otherwise it would be impossible to flag down your server, who will be covering a ton of tables and going back and forth a lot.
Yechon didn't make me a convert to Korean food, but I did enjoy it. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I'd gladly return if I were in the area or if someone else wanted to go.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - T. B.Fresno, CA106187396Mar 13, 2015
This place is huge!! It was a long wait but they said we could wait at the bakery next door with the buzzard, pretty cool. Service was great, the Korean lady's are really nice and attentive. Got the special number 2 Combo with a side order of soju.
Great place for large groups and midnight snacking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angela P.Falls Church, VA427449677Nov 27, 2013
The banchan here is simply the best--I love the mashed potatoes (secret is Japanese mayo) and spicy cucumbers. They bring out many dishes and aren't a rag about refilling them.
My top picks here:
Beef ribs (min two orders to cook in front of you which is worth it!): So juicy and flavorful!!
Fish/Seafood stew: Ingredients are put together in a large pot then placed in front of you on low heat for your eating pleasure. Generous with the monkfish and I think there was half a lobster tail floating around.
Bibimbap: Though bibimbaps are a safe bet anywhere, no place does it as good as they do.
If you're feeling adventurous:
Intestines stew: Deliciously creamy upon first bite. After about two bowls of these the creaminess turns a little gamey. Only order with a larger sized group b/c it won't taste very good reheated.
-1 Star for how service can be spotty when they get busy which is understandable, but we had 2-3 different waitresses which adds to the confusion.
Tips: Parking is horrendous-there's usually some free spots next to a sketchy dumpster in the back. Wait can be long, too. However, they opened a nice little Korean bakery next door where you can stroll and sample the goods while you wait.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Deanna J.Atlanta, GA771530805Jan 11, 2008
Korean BBQ flavored with eating at midnight. . . or really anytime since this place incredibly opens 24 hours a day! Drive up and be bombarded by a building covered in neon signs. It'll certainly wake you up if you're even close to sleeping! I was surprised that the inside of this place is really nice, with a nice wooden interior. But more importantly, the food. Minimal talking happened at our table because we were all too busy concentrating on the re-donk beef sitting in front of us.
Thirty or so frantic minutes of eating later, our entire table was close to clear. Satisfaction at its finest!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
