Christie Brinkley isn’t closing any doors as she looks toward her 70th birthday, and that includes the possibility of meeting someone.

While speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the milestone, the supermodel and entrepreneur shared that she “remains open” to a relationship, but there’s a challenge: “There just doesn't seem to be anybody out there,” she says.

The lack of options doesn’t get her down, however. “At the same time,” she says, “I am pretty comfortable with my life the way it is, so, que será, será!”

She adds, “I always said my whole life that I think that you have to be happy alone so that you get with a man for the right reasons and you're not clinging to him because you need to, you know?”

Brinkley’s got plenty to focus on right now, from running her own certified organic sparkling and zero-sugar still wine brand, Bellissima, to collaborating with Xcel Brands Inc. for the spring launch of lifestyle and apparel brand TWRHLL and her partnership with RYZE adaptogenic mushrooms, for which she’s a brand ambassador.

But her busy work schedule isn’t stopping her from filling up her bucket list. Hovering at the top: travel. “I still have to see India. I’ve never been to Tahiti or Thailand. I want to go to Bali also. I’ve got to do an eat, pray, love,” Brinkley says.

Brinkley’s also hoping to take Italian lessons. “I love Italy, and I want to be able to converse better,” she says.

And the star wants to give back in a major way. “If TWRHLL becomes very successful, I’d love to be able to do things that very successful people do with their money in terms of giving back. At 70, you kind of say, ‘What can I do to help others?'”

While another romantic relationship might or might not be in Brinkley’s future, the mother of three to Alexa Ray Joel, 38 (from her marriage to Billy Joel), Jack Brinkley-Cook, 28 (from her marriage to Richard Taubman; Jack was later adopted by Peter Cook) and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 25 (from her marriage to Cook) says being in the presence of family and friends keeps her on cloud 9. “I think that's kind of just the height of happiness.”
