OLIVIA CULPO

SoBe Celebrates 21st Birthday with Charli XCX and Tinashe at Foxtail Pool at SLS Las Vegas Over Labor Day Weekend

As a former pageant star (she was crowned Miss Universe in 2012), Olivia knows a thing or two about doing up her own face. And for a recent event in Las Vegas, the star put her skills to work, she revealed on Instagram. But even though she "kind of messed up and went a little heavier than usual," she shone bright, thanks to a number of products, including Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow.

As a L'Oréal ambassador, Eva has pros at her beck and call, but sometimes, she likes to take matters into her own hands — literally! At the George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic in May, she created a monochromatic makeup look that matched her shimmery shadow to her pink lip (which her hair guru Ken Paves then bragged about on Instagram).

For a book signing event for her latest launch, Lauren Conrad Celebrate, the author showed off her superior penmanship both via her autograph and her signature cat-eye. “Lauren has become a pro at doing her own liquid liner,” the star's makeup artist Amy Nadine told PeopleStyle. “[She] loves the creative expression of doing it herself.”

The Honest Beauty founder is a big fan of her organic makeup and skincare line (obviously!), but our favorite way she promotes the line's latest launches? By taking charge of her own red carpet glam (and showing it off on Instagram)! In her makeup bag snapshots she not only gives fans a glimpse at the products used but also provides tips to nail the look on their own.

The starlet is a red carpet chameleon whose signature is an always on-point beauty look that she occasionally does herself! For the Marie Claire “Fresh Faces” party, she gave herself a, er, fresh-faced look, featuring a super-bold brow, subtle cheek flush and a pretty pink lip. “#facebeatbyme,” she credited the look on Instagram.

After launching her first-ever makeup line, Illuminate by Ashely Tisdale, earlier this year, the actress has taken some of her core products for a test run on the red carpet! For the world premiere of Mother's Day, the star used the Beach Goddess Palette, Cream Cheek in Coco and Lip Gloss in Tan Lines, giving herself a sultry smoky eye and sun goddess glow.

Before every major performance during her countrywide tours, Carrie sneaks in a little R&R in the form of a glam session (she is an Almay ambassador, after all). “When I am on tour I enjoy doing my own hair and makeup,” she previously confessed to PeopleStyle. “There are just so many people on the road, and it's kind of therapeutic for me to be able to sit on my butt, and have all my things, and it's quiet. It's my time to play.”

The style star has always impressed us for her red carpet no-stylist streak – but as it turns out, she's also the talent behind her gorgeous makeup moments. “I was always surrounded by great makeup artists when I was modeling and learned a lot from them,” she said in a previous interview with The Violet Files. “I try not to overdo it and let the dress do all the talking.”

The Babysitter star loves showing off her cosmetic skills on Snapchat (as her followers can attest, thanks to her countless mini tutorials) and on the red carpet; at the Boohoo.com pop-up store event, the 18-year-old gave herself a smoky eye and deep red stain, which prove that practice makes perfect.

The Shameless actress typically recruits her makeup artist friends (including Jo Baker) to prep her for major award shows, but for those last-minute event invites? She's on her own, she told Allure, adding that she's picked up a few tips and tricks over the years to help master her own look. “Blend, blend, blend. Go slowly. And look at yourself in different lights,” she explained. “The light in your bathroom might be very yellow, and when you get out into the daylight, your face might look very different.”

Even though the mom of two is busy (pun intended), she still manages to squeeze in time to do her own red carpet glam. And to prove it, the actress walked the lovely ladies of The Lenny Letter through her routine, including how to get her signature show-stopping bold, bright lip looks.

The 19-year singer recently revealed to PeopleStyle that her favorite way to prep for a big show is by doing her own hair and makeup! The prep process, which usually takes her two hours, is her quiet moment of zen before hitting the stage: “I enjoy it actually, it's very therapeutic – it's like painting!”

“It's fun to do my own hair and makeup for the red carpet — if there's time, I like to just stand in the bathroom and turn music on and light candles and go through all the steps of my routine,” the 10 Cloverfield Lane actress has told Into the Gloss. “It's sort of therapeutic. And I also feel accomplished if I look at the photo the next day and I like it. It's nice to be in control of how I look.”
