Villa VPRO

Villa VPRO in Hilversum is where Dutch Broadcast organisation VPRO is located since 1997. It is the first built project of renowned Dutch architecture firm MVRDV. With its characteristic open floor plan and continuous floors it is strongly inspired by the entry of another Rotterdam-based architecture firm, OMA for the Jussieu library competition (which was never built but was nonetheless very influential).

Villa VPRO in Hilversum is het gebouw waar de VPRO sinds 1997 is gehuisvest. Het is het eerste gerealiseerde project van het
Nederlandse architectenbureau MVRDV. Met zijn karakteristieke open plattegrond en continue verdiepingen is het sterk
geïnspireerd door de prijsvraaginzending van een ander in Rotterdam gevestigd architectenbureau OMA voor de Jussieu
bibliotheek (die nooit gebouwd is maar wel erg invloedrijk werd).
