Sophie Lowe (“Beautiful Kate”, “Road Kill”) has landed the role of Alice in the upcoming series “Once: Wonderland,” a spin-off of the popular ABC fantasy-drama "Once Upon A Time.“
The Australian actress joins the already cast Peter Gadiot and Michael Socha, who will portray Cyrus (Alice’s mysterious love interest) and the Knave of Hearts, respectively.
The "Alice in Wonderland” themed project will begin production in Vancouver after “Once” wraps its second season this spring. A teaser presentation will be filmed first, with the pilot - should it move to pilot - being filmed this summer. Although helmed by the original show’s team, “Once: Wonderland” has been envisioned as a series seperate from “Once” altogether. “The idea is not a spin-off in the traditional sense — another five-year, 22-episode series,” “Once” co-creator Edward Kitsis said. “It’s much more in the vein of an American Horror Story, with a beginning, middle, and end.”
