Yanni’s Soundcheck Clips Take Top Three of Top Facebook Live Videos Chart
The pianist's uploads from Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania go 1-2-3.
Yanni has found success on Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart in the past, but the latest tally for December 2019 sees the pianist score a new personal best on the tally, taking each of the top three spots.
The chart, the latest of which recaps December 2019 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.
The No. 1 video from Yanni chronicles his soundcheck before his Dec. 3 concert in Cleveland. The seven-minute video was the top video of the month by a musician in three of the four chart metrics, garnering 160,000 reactions, 29,000 shares and 4.4 million views in its first seven days, according to Shareablee.

The Nos. 2 and 3 clips were also from soundchecks in the week that followed, with the No. 2 upload from his Dec. 5 Joliet, Ill., show, and No. 3 from Dec. 9 in Pittsburgh.
Yanni’s No. 1 video didn’t lead the chart in just one metric: comments (though it still earned a robust 11,000 comments). That distinction goes to French singer Jean-Louis Aubert, whose hour-long Dec. 30 upload, in which he performed multiple songs from home on the guitar and piano to ring in 2020, was commented on 27,000 times.
