Everett homegal — and “Grey’s Anatomy” TV doc Ellen Pompeo and her Cambridge-born music producer hubby Chris Ivery are having a baby!
The 39-year-old actress and her 41-year-old hubby are said to be “ecstatic” over the news, said Pompeo’s rep Jennifer Allen who dished off the baby announcement to People.com last night.
Allen did not, however, say when the baby’s due to make his or her dramatic entrance.
Ellen and Chris, who are big Boston Celtics fans, BTW, were married by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a stealthy ceremony in 2007, four years after meeting in a grocery store.
Pompeo, who plays Dr. Meredith Grey on ABC’s hit medical drama, has been spotted in La-La shopping for baby gear, according to People. It’s unknown if the show’s writers will work her impending baby bump into the show’s storyline.
Another Seattle Grace doc is also with child: Chyler Leigh, who plays Pompeo’s half-sister on the show, and her hubby, Nathan West, are expecting their third child, a girl, in May.
