Reverend Peterson gave a conservative black’s perspective on black political leaders, what happened in Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath, and how best to help Americans who need it. He said that the poor response to the devastation in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast was not racially motivated. The reverend also responded to questions and comments from viewers.

Reverend Peterson, the author of Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America, moderated the October 11 New Black Vanguard conference at the Heritage Foundation. He is opposed to Rev. Farrakhan’s efforts and the Millions More Movement event, which was scheduled for the weekend of October 14, 2005. close
