Blow for France as Sebastien Chabal pulls out of Scotland clash
Injured: France's Sebastien Chabal
Lock Sebastien Chabal has pulled out of France's Six Nations opening game against Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday through injury.
The nature of the injury was not revealed but Chabal, who will be replaced by Toulouse's Yoann Maestri, has been suffering from back pain.
Chabal is the second France lock to pull out of the Scotland game because of injury after Romain Millo-Chluski.
Chabal, 32, has scored 30 points in 52 games for France and his absence is a boost for the Scots.
The 6ft 3in 18-stone ex-Sale forward was axed by his country for the 2008 Six Nations but recalled last year.
