As the Backstreet boys played in the background, he joked: 'No, no, no that's the Backstreet Boys, that's a bit awkward. Sorry can we um play the right music please.

'Yes, that's more like it. Well I have some great news that won't leave you feeling blue because we are putting on a special tour, a Greatest Hits Tour.

'We could be putting your city on lockdown when we fly down on a low ride very soon but rather than me telling you about it I thought I'd draft in a couple of my mates to give you all the details.'

In a pre-filmed video of the three other bandmates, Lee said: 'Good Morning Britain, so we wanted to give Duncan a bit of an exclusive as he is sitting in for Richard.'

Simon added: 'Yes we are off on our Greatest Hits Tour and we will be performing at theatres across the UK from next April. So we really hope you come along and celebrate two decades of music with us.'

Antony said: 'We'll give you all of our greatest hits and also there will be some stories and yes.. we have some great stories.'

Back to Duncan from the studio, he gushed: 'Aww love you boys, my boys. We are going on a greatest hits tour kicking off in Liverpool, don't miss out.'

The Blue boys will be touring across the UK in April and May 2024.

The band formed in 2000 and went on to release three studio albums titled All Rise, One Love and Guilty.

After announcing a hiatus in 2004, Duncan, Antony, Lee and Simon released their first compilation album, Best Of Blue.

The group first reunited in January 2011 and represented the UK in that year's Eurovision Song Contest, coming in 11th place after a performance of I Can in Dusseldorf.

They went on to release two more studio albums, their fourth Roulette in 2013 and their fifth Colours in 2015.

In 2013, they joined groups including Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and 5ive to give a one-off gig as part of The Big Reunion.

When their tour was set to begin last September, it was pushed back to December 2022 after band member Lee was arrested after behaving in an 'intimidating' and 'crazy' manner during a flight from Glasgow to London City Airport on Sunday, according to reports.

The Blue singer was alleged to have been abusive towards cabin crew when they refused to serve him an alcoholic drink and he was handcuffed after the plane landed.

Ryan has previously spoken of his struggles with alcohol, after describing himself as having been a 'good alcoholic' for 10 years.
