DE BRUYN CARS

Silvestris

In 1990, Maarten embarked on a daring journey to establish his own sports car factory. To achieve this goal, he spent years designing and building his first original supercar: the Silvestris. A full-fledged sports car, where every aspect of the exterior and interior has been designed and crafted down to the smallest detail.

In the world of automobiles, it is a rarity for one person to handcraft an entire sports car, embodying the concept of "one soul, one car". The impressive result formed the basis for the legendary Spyker C8 Spyder, sharing the same technical and body specs as the Silvestris, unveiled and immediately awarded at the 2000 Birmingham Motor Show.

Spyker

Maarten founded Spyker Automobielen in 1999. His uncompromising artistic vision was fully realized in the first generation Spyker C8 models. Combining creative ingenuity with classic design principles, resulting in timeless sports cars that are now highly sought-after collector’s items.
After leaving Spyker in 2005, Maarten started working on several innovative vehicle projects, ranging from impressive powerboats to electric tricycles. But his love for sports cars remained, inspiring him to come back to pursue a new venture in 2023 under his own brand: deBruyn Cars.

deBruyn Cars

With his recently launched deBruyn V8 Ferox, Maarten once again created a timeless sports car, based on his original design vision, but with the knowledge, insight and experience of today.

The co-initiators of deBruyn Cars are seasoned multi-entrepreneurs Wouter van Everdingen, owner of Palmesteyn, and Niek van Exel, founder of Bloomit Ventures.
