French back-row Sebastien Chabal scored a late try in his cameo appearance for Australian side Belmain.

The No.8 went over for the second-division Australian side with six minutes left on the clock in their one-off match against Petersham - a match which acted as the curtainraiser to the clash between the Waratahs and the reigning champions - the Reds.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Chabal's bow saying: "Chabal made a difference in the set piece, providing crucial go-forward at the scrum but his second-division subbies teammates more than held up their end of the bargain."

Chabal's future is now uncertain. The No.8 left former side Racing Metro amid reports of a fallout with coach Pierre Berbizier and is now looking for a new side. Franchises in Super Rugby have been linked with him along with Top 14 giants Stade Francais.
