Fargesia denudata
The Fargesia denudata is perhaps one of the least know Fargesia. It has a nice, graceful, arching habit, making it look almost like a weeping bamboo. Though it does tolerate some heat, it does best with some shade, especially in the afternoon. Tolerates deep shade as well. It is similar to the Fargesia murielae, but with smaller foliage. This is a great bamboo for those who live in the northern tier of the U.S. Very cold hardy clumping (non running) bamboo, down to -10f.
