Mr. De Haan was born January 10, 1898, at Newkirk.
He was married to Stella Vander Maaten April 10, 1924, at Boyden.
He farmed near Newkirk until retiring and moving into Orange City in 1963.
Survivors include the widow; four sons, John of Clinton, Frank, Henry and Stanley, all of Newkirk: three daughters, Mrs. Robert Schuller of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Gerrit Bosmany of Boyden and Mrs. Norman Van Ommeren of Maurice, and 25 grandchildren.
