Daisy is a modern classic, and I’m tired of the slander.

If you are a niche perfume collector who likes smelling like cigarettes, blood, animal musk, oud wood, and lipstick (which is extremely sexy and chic of you, btw, I am not being a hater) of COURSE you’re not going to like a fresh, soft floral scent. Have you ever thought to consider that not everything is for you? You already know what you like and how to get it and you already know the culture and language of fragrance. I know you know that you are not the target and intended audience. I know you are hanging on to the last legs of your high school “I’m not like other girls” complex.

(Which of course is really funny to me, because REAL manic pixie dream girls who listen to The Smiths, chain smoke regularly, and always seem to have perfect bangs aren’t wearing niche fragrance tiktok finds, they’re wearing an ancient bottle of Chanel no5 or Angel that used to be their mom’s, Love’s Baby Soft from Walgreens, or a Daisy flanker they got for their birthday. They only even know of Little Flower because of reigning It Girl, Chloe Sevigny. They don’t think about fragrance all day, they have basement shows to go to, vintage stores to loiter at, and they literally always have adoring art bro/Patrick Bateman boyfriends to attend to.)

One thing I would like to push back on is the idea that “young girl” or “young woman” is the worst thing a person can be like. We’ve already established that “grandma” or “old lady” is a crappy, unintelligent, and misogynistic way to critique a fragrance, so can we have some of that energy for the other extreme?

I also dislike the idea that fruity-florals are inherently artless compared to woodier-muskier-stankier-skankier offerings. The line of thinking odd to me. Why do you look at notes on paper and decide for yourself that not a lot of effort or care was put into a scent based off of those alone, but not the composition or the story being told through the fragrance? Do you think the “effort” put into creating a fragrance is only evident in the list of notes?

This perfume was designed in the form and likeness of Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, and if you’ve read the book, it captures her essence perfectly. People have different essences from one another. I’m a doe-eyed blonde water sign who cries every time she watches The Last Unicorn, I can’t pull off your edgy cool girl offerings. I can’t spritz Jasmin et Cigarette (which, side note, I DO love that scent!) all over myself and head to my babysitting job.

And I do think Daisy is good. I do think it has earned its place in perfume history. I don’t think Marc Jacobs just slapped together a fruity body splash and a handful of floral notes like some of these reviews would have you believe. The use of violet in *mainstream* perfumery had been fairly sparse prior to this lovely little thing dancing into the scene. It was seen as “stuffy” and “too powdery” associated with “old” in a Victorian way. Napoleon’s Josephine famously wore violet scents. It was also viewed as a difficult to work with note, with many perfumers trying and failing to integrate it into their scents. Daisy revived the violet, made her young and fresh and let her out into the world with a white sundress, a string of pearls, and a Mia Farrow pixie cut. I’m riding with her for life.

I tested this when it came out in a taxfree air port shop. Love at first sight. I've had so many perfumes over the years. Daisy has always been my comfort and signature scent. I cant really explain why. Based on the notes and what I'm into nowadays it doesn't make sense. Still I'm as hooked on it as I was when it came out. 17 years. That blows my mind 😂

Floralauriel

It’s fine. A generic light floral with a mild soapy dry down. There’s nothing super offensive about this but it did give me a headache, unfortunately. Perhaps it’s the ozone notes as I’ve read that those can be a bit overstimulating. I’ll try it again later in the season on a day when I can be outside more.

limelime

I didn't care much for this at first. Thought it was kind of basic and generic, an easy-reach and comfortable to wear, but otherwise forgettable.

I take that back now though. I'm not sure what it is about Daisy, but it really, really grew on me. It's pretty and it's delicate and it has this juicy, almost sparkling burst of strawberry that I find addictive. The greenness to it is also refreshing. I might just be nose-blind to it after the dry down, but I personally don't think it comes across as ozonic or powdery at all.

G0rebloom

I cannot for the life of me review this objectively because it reminds me of an older woman I grew up around at my church. She was always refined with a short blonde pixie cut, white slacks and her husband liked car auctions in Las Vegas. It's youthful, but somehow also a mature woman in the 90s. Suburban upper middle class mom-core.

ElonorCrush

Despite quite negative reviews present here. I believe this scent is non offensive, fresh and beautiful.
Yes, there is a longevity issue. Yes, the scent its rather intimate, than strong and sweet. Daisy needs to be reapplied through the day, otherwise scent fades away.
This is rather a gentle, everyday perfume, that feels nice and clean.
Personally, I find this scent really relaxing and wish it lasted longer.
For someone who prefers clean and gentle- this is perfect.

lilymichelle01

Powdery, sweet, and somewhat warm with a bit of violet. Not my favorite but it's still good. Never been a fan of powdery scents due to them smelling "grandma" like and overwhelming, but this is very light and fresh. It doesn't choke me out after spraying it. The reviews stating it smells like bananas are not wrong, but it's not an exact banana scent. It has a resemblance to a light banana scent. If you want something delicate and powdery I'd recommend it!

anaesthesiaangel

Daisy smells exactly how you’d expect it to smell, exactly how the bottle is designed. A light, youthful, juicy floral. It’s very pretty and girlish, fresh and uplifting.
It’s rather generic and safe but smells delightful, suitable for an ingenue and feminine girl, who dresses in frilly skirts and sundresses, and no older than 24 i’d say

Wrench

Smells like banana peels to me

Zeddyteddy

This is a really pretty summery floral scent but it doesn’t last on me. For the price it’s a poor performer and so I won’t repurchase unless it’s very discounted.

Sailor Pluto

I wore this today because I was in the mood for it. It's the kind of scent that I love when I'm in the mood, and borderline hate when I'm not LOL. I think it smells delicious, but it's one-dimensional. You have to be in a candy-like mood to wear this. Despite the scent itself being the type of scent that is soft and light, the potency of the fragrance is strong. So you don't need to put on a lot to smell it properly all day.

Beans&Gravy

I got this around 2018. It was my first major perfume that my parents got me after I remarked how much I like it. It does kind of smell like bananas. It’s very faint, but I like it a lot. Maybe because I’ve had it for a while, but the florals aren’t very strong. It’s a really good scent that I think anyone can wear, it doesn’t come across as really feminine to me.

meganlamode

I wore Daisy a lot in my late teens and early 20s, and when I smell it now, I'm transported back to that time. Youth, innocence, excitement for the warmth of Spring and Summer weather. Daisy holds a special place in my heart since it taught me that I like violet notes in fragrance, and even now as I'm in my 30s, I am thinking of buying a new bottle because it is such a classic in my eyes. It's fresh, but not sharp. Floral, but not cloying. Slightly fruity, but not too sweet. Perfect for every day.

Cinlee

Wow what a disappointment this is! I was given a bottle for my birthday and was hoping it would be nice, but this one is not for me. All I get is strong violet & gardenia and I can't smell it after about 30 - 45 mins, I asked a few friends and they couldn't smell it on me after about an hour. IMO this is a fairly generic smelling granny type of scent that at $90 a bottle is way too pricey, even if it was $20 a bottle I still wouldn't waste my money. It's not an offensive perfume and I'm sure it smells nice on some people just not on me. The only positive thing I can say is I do like the bottle, it's a little cutie.

novelogue

I love the scent so much but it doesn't last very long on me, unfortunately - the longest that it's ever lasted on me is probably an hour.

dawnnyy

Would steal this from my Mom as a kid. I dont fw it, smells too much like my mum

embuggle

A nostalgic one for me. Brings back memories of young summers, sitting by the water, first kisses, and ah the blushing naiveté! It's lovely and fresh. With white florals, ripe fruit, fresh cut stems, Daisy remains a youthful classic.

yayaaroma

full bottle with box for sale and includes 10 premium samples $60 including shipping. msg on instagram @stylelifethe if interested/want pics!

confused_amoeba

I loved it in store. But the jasmine and gardenia (I smell some tuberose in there too) remind me of funeral processions. (I'm from India).

It's a lovely office friendly spring/summer smell, but I'll probably layer it with peony/lotus forward florals to drown out the white flowers. White flowers just remind me of death at this point. It's a lovely scent, but I'll not repurchase.

Salkavalka

In theory I shouldn't like Daisy. I really don't like aquatics, fruity florals or strawberry notes, plus I hate the plastic flowers in its cap. In practise, I'm on my 3rd bottle since 2008. Which goes to say, the notes don't tell everything, so just trust your nose. This one is woody, flowery, dewey...pure spring magic, and it'll always have a place in my heart (and perfume cupboard).

darkbeauty

The violets are more green than sweet or powdery. Smells a bit like garden trimmings. I can see why they called it Daisy. Would be good for spring / summer. Soapy, leaning green, herbal shampoo or hand soap mostly. Just not for me.

PurlyGirl

15 year old me would have loved this, at this point in my life I look more for scents with some complexity and layers. This seems a bit more dimensional than Gucci Bloom but it's still too much flower for me.

It was completely gone within two hours as well.

saf_her

It just smells like grass??

Shimmer412

A very fresh, bright, green, happy, tart, sweet, and slightly woodsy floral. A pretty classic and recognizable scent. I think it works best during the springtime when everything is fresh and just becoming green, but it works nicely for summer too.

The most predominant notes to me are the violet leaf, blood grapefruit, and strawberry, but what it mainly smells like to me is a somewhat fruity and fresh green smell. I do get some floral and woodsy scent, but it’s rather soft. The musk and vanilla are barely noticeable on me, but just slightly more so once it’s dried down.

This is definitely not a bad fragrance at all, but it’s just not really me. I haven’t been a very big fan of the Daisy fragrances with the exception of Daisy Love and Daisy Love Eau So Sweet (one of my favorite fragrances actually).

I do get good performance with Daisy. It lasts all day on me. It also projects nicely, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

Just for reference, some of my favorite woodsy florals include Coach Love (2012 version), Coach Poppy Blossom, Coach Poppy Wild Flower, SDJ 59, Flowerbomb, FB Ruby Orchid, FB Nectar, and FB Midnight

frrnxh

Smells like the pink Sunsilk shampoo but more concentrated, sweeter and nicer. I can smell the greenness a bit, which is refreshing, I think it's the violet.

Did not last long though, EDT at a high price. Sillage after half an hour is bad tho. Barely can smell it on my skin.

Not worth it if you buy at full price. Would be a good perfume for beginners, and if you want to lowkey wear a perfume.

pao_dc_live

It is a very pleasant sweet floral, it is true that it does not change much over time, but I don't see it as a problem.
I used it one day when I had a headache and it didn't make it worse.
It's something vintage, not too much, just enough to remember something if you're old enough or feel more mature if you're young, the only thing I don't like is how it fades from the skin, with a slight metallic aroma that makes it feel like grandma's perfume.

AnnaMagenta

Very versatile vanilla scent with smooth white flowers accord. Well blended.

samanthalemay

I loved this perfume. Luckily I tested it because it turns into the most awful metallic smell. Not a nice metallic, a B.O. metallic smell. So unfortunate.

Gingerspiced

Am I the only one who thinks this is a winter perfume?
I was given this from someone's destash in early August and tried it on that day. A beautiful breezy warm summer day, not too hot, and I thought this would be perfect. I hated it! I have realized since that I'm not the biggest fan of violet/violet leaf as it smells cold and a little sudsy to me. Violets smell like old woman's dusting powder (and I wear Youth Dew so I'm not afraid of old woman smells) and the leaf is a bit bitter.

Then I thought, if it's cold, wear it in cold weather! So here I am in January trying it again. It is still not my favorite but it feels like the first gust of a chilly spring breeze where everything has morning dew and there's tulips but it's still damn cold out. Makes more sense to me than it did in summer. Smells a bit soapy, a bit fresh.

It's okay.

Perfect10Tara

Light and airy and very inoffensive. I actually bought this for two reasons...it was on trend at the time because the bottle looked cool and I was chasing the original and discontinued Marc Jacobs perfume. Now that I think about it, it's more of a young girl's perfume as exemplified by the packaging.

AnnaMilla

So fresh, so feminine, there's nothing in this perfume I dislike. The sweet violet note is floating above a deep musk scent, and there's a fresh fragrance over all that reminds me of lemon grass. I get a picture of floating white dresses in chiffon, sunshine and a field full of flowers.

yelrog

I just remember having this a long time ago, when it was a lot more popular. I liked it, and I can remember exactly how it smelled. I’m not a clean scent person because I think most of them are forgettable, but this one stuck. It smells exactly like the mental image of a daisy (whatever THAT means). I think it’s best described as just light, laundry-esque but not artificial, and ageless. I smelled this recently (within the past few years) and it was exactly the same as I had remembered it. Probably the only exception in my distaste for fresh fragrances.

to play in the dark

A fresh floral scent with a hint of fruit. My nose identifies it as pear. It does smell like daisies, so I don't know why it's not in the pyramid. Extremely unoffensive and likable. Nothing adventurous about this scent, though, and it is kind of boring. The projection and the perfomance are pretty good.
Overall - a good choice for a woman with clean, feminine aesthetics.

Aquapinkmoon

Smells so fresh and clean, extremely under appreciated. Daisy is the scent of the fresh breeze standing in a field of flowers, wearing a clean, white cotton dress. That’s exactly what this smells like to me, it’s a happy scent that’s very refreshing amongst a sea of ouds, ambers and sugar bombs (which I love aswell). This is perfect for day but also very clean and refreshing as a night scent aswell, I’m in my early 20’s and really appreciate how youthful and fun daisy is, the longevity is moderate, great projection and silliage but you will have to reapply after a few hours. There’s a perfect touch of sweetness, such a gorgeous perfume.

cl195238

2008-2012ish this was everywhere, but I can’t hold that against it. I don’t consider Daisy generic at all- It's definitely distinct enough to be recognizable. Although it has a lot in common with the Chanel Chance eau tendre, it's much a more green scent than that, with a pretty different (almost sandalwood, although that’s not listed) dry down. It smells great to me.

Like others, I get banana, but that's a plus, not a downside. I don’t like the idea of a banana note in theory, but it just works here. It's not "artificial banana flavor"- it's more like unripe green banana skin, very green and fresh, but smooth, with enough sweet floral and citrus notes to balance it out. A clean, cute, fun, well-balanced scent. I totally understand it's popularity; I now find myself craving that fresh green banana smell from time to time.

I only wish this had better staying power- I get maybe 4 hours tops. Edit: The edp version (Daisy Black) is very similar but less sweet and lasts just a tiny bit longer.

Jamie800

I wore this as a teenager and liked it then, but would never wear it now. Clearly my mother bought it for me because it would never be thought of as too mature or heavy or sexy. So so sickly sweet to me, but would suit someone wanting a girlish and sweet frag

Gemsense

Definitely not a winter fragrance. All I smell is the very strong blood grapefruit with a trail of violet leaf. Does not smell good. Smells like a bad floor cleaner. It’s grapefruit but a very very tart sour grapefruit. Not sweet at all. I like other Daisy flankers but this is my first time with the original. I’ll try again when the weather warms up but for now as a winter scent it’s a no. Hopefully warmer weather will tame the tart grapefruit and pull out the other notes.

motherqueen

I was scared when I first got this perfume because it is so overdone sometimes. My initial reaction was to hate it because it has a hint of "old person" smell. After it being on my dresser for a month I decided to start using it and I LOVE IT. I feel it gives young but mature at the same time. I love fruity floral notes and this literally has both of those. I have been using it for a month and I'm its nearly done.

Cakerin

This a pretty, feminine classic. I wore this for my wedding day and now every time I smell it, I have sentimental feelings. It’s an easy grab for me for any special event. A little powdery, very prominent white florals. Fresh and clean.

jdb_

I wore this as a teenager and revisiting it makes me realize I had good taste! The realistic nature of this perfume makes it soo comforting and beautiful. It almost smells like a banana tree. Green, a little fruity, ripe, and dewy. It’s clean but not too soapy. The violet is shining for sure. I picture a lush creek surrounded by flowers and blooming fruit. Not very sweet at all, especially compared to popular scents atm, though it does get sweeter as it dries down. There’s something innocent about this but it’s not exclusively young. I think the cheesy bottle might steer away fabulous grown women from trying this one out. So pleasant and organic smelling 💛

Ps I get way more powdery white florals on paper than on skin. Seems to take a little heat to bring out the earthiness in this one.

Ajlina

If you've ever wished to smell how Parma Violets taste, then Daisy is what you've been looking for... Or at least that's how it made me smell.
This would really suit a young lady with a prim and proper yet preppy style: think Blair Waldorf.

lanadelreyy

NASTY!!!!!!!! it smells amazing on some people and disgusting on me. most perfumes smell good on me but this smelt like a granny's diaper! NEVER AGAIN .

cmdrumgool

I'm new to fragrance and figuring out what I like so I tested Daisy in the store the other day on my lunch break with one single spray and initially I did NOT enjoy it. It was so powdery it made me sneeze and in the first few minutes I got old lady vibes but once it settled on my skin it was overpowering and borderline foul on me. I was starting to get a headache and it's rare scents bother me plus again, I sprayed it once on my left wrist only.

When I got back to work it was bothering me so much I tried to use some hand sanitizer to remove some of the scent but that did nothing. It was very strong. About 4 hours later when I got home from work the vanilla finally started to come through and the scent chilled out a bit. The longer it stayed on the more I enjoyed it and by the time I went to bed I actually couldn't stop smelling my wrist. It was pretty great at that point, but sadly it's not worth the 4 hours of olfactory torture to me.

This was very a long lasting scent, at least on me. I put it on around 1:30pm and I could still smell it some when I woke up at 6am the next morning, though I doubt anyone else could've smelled it. It's too bad, at that point it was delicious smelling but I can't do it again.

katiejon

I’ve had a sample for years now, and every time I wear it I’m pleasantly surprised.
There’s no mystery on why this is so well loved: it’s simple and classic.

Not every day do I feel like wearing a real banger, or a gourmand, or an otherwise artsy scent.
Sometimes I just want to smell pretty and uncomplicated.

Daisy is a scent I keep with La Vie et Belle, Flowerbomb, Chloé, and Viva la Juicy - they are simple, they are pleasant, and they win every time.

Carobean

This is one of the perfumes that I will replace as soon as I'm running low. It's a good daily work scent. It's subtle enough (though I do agree with other reviews that it fades within a few hours), sweet, crowd-pleasing, delicate, feminine, and clean. It's simple, but I think that's part of Daisy's charm.

_Aerides

If you like violet you gotta try this at least once; it's an absolute classic and nowadays it's been massified a little but the OG is very special in and on itself💜. I usually dislike strong white florals but these lean more green than heady and the ozonic violet predominates keeping it crispy. I wish it had more musk or woods to help with performance but I guess the ethereal aspect of this is part of the vibe; it's like it envelops you in a thin ozonic veil 👻 I found it had decent sillage for the first two hours even if the scent itself is softer, however it lasts three hours tops and for the last hour or so it becomes an intimate skin scent. As much as I like violet and this green floral scent profile there are better options in terms of price-performance out there (Eclat D'Arpege gives me a very similar vibe with twice the performance power at about half price). I would only get this for collecting purposes and on discount couz I'd definitely feel guilty overspraying as I like lol 💸

steelfeet

This was the first scent I ever got a full bottle of (from my parents when I was a teenager). I liked it more then than I do now -- it's definitely a nice scent for girls and young women, but it's pretty forgettable. Pleasant and floral, but there are more interesting florals out there in my opinion! Good if you like a mild perfume that works for any occasion, but not if you prefer something stronger, longer-lasting, or more complex.

J'aimeunefragrance

The bottle looks so pretty on my vanity, but it can only hold so many bottles *sigh*
Suits the clean girl aesthetic. Non existent projection after a few hours.

honeyedclover

The bottle has been sitting on my dresser since 2016. Why? Simply, there are more complex and/or appealing scents to me; this is the polar opposite of what fragrances I tend to enjoy (I received this as a gift), but I know this fragrance is beloved for a reason.

Very much "clean girl," just out of the shower where she washed with Dove soap, with a white sundress straight from the laundry (left to airdry in her beginner garden), freshly picked wildflowers in her hair, out on a picnic in a scenic park in the mid-spring, not a single cloud in the sky, the breeze carries the atmospheric scent of nature, the sun embraces and melts the tension built up from the colder months.

It's a very inoffensive, fresh, floral, pick-me-up scent that has a fleeting wear time. Reminds me of laundry detergent and Febreze. Nothing to write home about.

madisonsant

It is nice and clean but it really DOESNT last. Like even not a half hour. Not worth to buy a full bottle

JemmaBella

This is the most beautiful elegant scent! I got this when it first came out and haven’t stopped buying it since. It is so pleasant and feminine,

PinkRainbow

Fresh as Springtime. It is like you are strolling through the woods in May where everything is blooming. Uplifting like clouds floating. A sweet fresh breeze. Love this. So clean and uplifting. The perfect warm weather scent for when the earth is starting anew.

ilu2death

pretty, feminine, and soapy. similar to daisy eau so fresh, but the white florals are a bit heady and dry. homey and mature in a relaxing way. i accidentally over-sprayed this and my mom said my room "smelled like an old lady at church."

signature: cabin by the lake, lana del rey, green crystals, fresh grass, southern summer

occasions: everyday, hangout, work

complementary scents: tea tree oil, honey

verzosa

I opted for a sample of this version along with testing this at every department store I happen to be at. This scent is very pleasant and there is nothing screechy here. There is something that intrigues me about Daisy. My initial impression on this was it had an alcoholic nature to it, but as Daisy develops it is very soft in such a pleasant way. For a fragrance so soft, it seems to have decent longevity. The fruity notes project as a backdrop and the woodiness is soft spoken yet definitely detectable. I find myself testing it almost every chance I get.

This is a really pretty perfume despite the fact that I don't find it fits me. I imagine this to suit someone gentle, calm and delicate. Perhaps vulnerable in a healthy way. I wish I knew someone who owned and used this, I feel I would enjoy it more this way.

bonniexoxo

This is such a classic, sophisticated and pretty fragrance. It's beloved for a reason; very versatile, clean and feminine. It can be worn formally or casually. It's been in my house for years.

cherriblossomss

i can see people with a love of lighter, more floral fragrances loving this, but personally i found it forgettable, a typical "clean" kind of smell.

Kizzyb93

When is first came out years ago I thought it would smell of daisies and to be honest when I think of daisies, I think of Cat Piss, and all the other nasties that could be sitting on a daisy, and to be honest I never really was drawn to this because it looked and sounded to be. Maybe a little bit boring… and to be honest today is the first day I smelt it because my colleague sprayed this in the staff toilets I can confirm it does not smell like cat piss nor does it smell like daisies
It’s just a clean soapy type smell to me
Not really my type of fragrance however I can see why people like this as it would be an easy reach for every day but it’s just not for me
Rate : it’s alright, but a little bit boring and I personally wouldn’t go out my way to buy

WitchQueen

When this first came out I thought it was boring, but now I really like the scent- it's a super pleasant soft and clean floral, a little soapy without being sharp. The scent could be enjoyed year round. However, it goes away in an hour on my skin so I can't justify buying it.

julieannlyn

I was in early high school when I first saw the iconic Juergen Teller campaign and I was such a sucker for it. For some reason it etched a weird, obsessive spot in my brain. I could bore you with talk of white florals or I could tell you what really captivated me when I finally got a bottle for my 15th birthday...that ozone, like tasting perfume on someone else's breath.

Nostalgia and travel melancholy often lead me to a bottle in an airport terminal, and I recently re-purchased randomly. Love those stupid vinyl flowers.

Dillinger

I was late to the party with this one, tbh I think the advertising really put me off - the advert was so annoying. Anyway to the perfume - I like that this smells fresh on me, I get the aquatics and the ‘green’ dry down which makes it stand apart from all the others that lie way over in the florals/sweetness vibe (in my opinion). I prefer dark, spicy, woody, resinous fragrances but I do love Daisy for the springtime, or those simple sunny days when it’s all good and you’re at peace. It’s certainly a mood lifter for me. Also great for when you don’t want to a) think about what perfume to wear, and b) when you just want to smell nice when out and about without causing offence. I don’t put an age to perfumes because I don’t think there’s such a thing - my youngest son (9) wears my Moschino Toy Boy when he can get his hands on it and smells utterly fantastic when he does so. All spicy rose and gorgeous!

In the hot, humid Southern United States, this is a very popular scent. You don't want a heavy, cloying scent in all of our heat and humidity.

CoverMyFarts

Easy reach, fresh, feminine and delicate. I'm a light sprayer, but I find myself doing 6 sprays only for the scent to become an intimate one within 2-3 hours. For the price, not worth it, which I don't like admitting because the scent is "clean girl pretty". Normally not a fan of those, but this one somehow appeals to me.

Weirdly smells like banana peels in colder weather. Maybe that's just me, though. The banana peel smell doesn't really come through in warmer weather.

Wouldn't buy a full size bottle again, but I'd definitely get a travel size since it's a very light, inoffensive scent. Perfect when heading to the gym or being around people who aren't fans of strong, heady fragrances.

rene.saller

I joined a fragrance club at my favorite online discounter (my primary dealer, you might say), and Daisy EDT was my first selection, a travel-size of the original Daisy EDT, which I am given to understand is quite basic but which I suspected I would like, on the basis of the parfumier, Morillas, and the notes (all my floral fave raves, plus some fruit that I felt cautiously optimistic about). And indeed, what do you know, I am become normie, I guess, for I love this demure little concoction, with its delicate violet shadows, discreet vanilla-tempered musks, and white florals that plumb forgot they were the sexual organs of plants and wouldn't know an indole if it bit 'em in their sweet little powderpuff asses.

My weirdo pretensions notwithstanding, it makes sense that I would like this, I suppose. I have a theory that people often use scent to will another form of themselves into existence, a kind of alter-ego projection fantasy. One friend, an academic, always wears Chanel Sycomore (which she describes as "bitter" and "pointy") to meetings because she feels that it keeps people from bullying her or trying to marginalize her; she's a very kind and compassionate person, so maybe she feels like it counterbalances her natural sweetness. I, on the other hand, am always looking for fragrances that inspire me to be less of a bitch, and Daisy is a real good girl of a perfume. Like most of the scents I like the best, it reminds me of fancy French soaps and tender purple flowers. I'm not yet sure if this is FBW, and I'm also thinking that this is similar enough to some other scents I have with very similar DNA (Jaipur Bracelet, perhaps) that I probably don't need any more than the 0.27 ounces I got in the travel-size sprayer, but I'll see what I think after using it for a while. I do get a bit of that Tendre Poison vibe I used to love so so so much in my distant youth! It doesn't seem strong, but I have to keep reminding myself that most EDTs are not nuclear-strength Elizabeth Taylor formulations. This seems to have about the same longevity as a 4711 cologne, despite being substantially more expensive, but that's really the only drawback I can identify. Other reviewers report that the fragrance is so common that it's dull, but I don't get out much, so how would I know?

I did a hand-to-hand test of Daisy EDT vs. Oakcha Sunkissed, a dupe I let mature in the dark for several months, and I can tell them apart only in one respect: the Oakcha dupe has significantly more throw and better longevity. If you like this scent profile, it might make sense, assuming you can live without the fussy little flower embellishment and such. These days I'd probably just reach for Guerlain Insolence instead.

missingbonnet

I like this fragrance's clean floral scent better than the bright crystal scent. It is skin scent on me

Mia80

There is this refreshing note that makes it smell open and easygoing. It’s a day perfume for a busy day. Kinda sweet tho.

FlowerSeeker

Part of this is wonderful on my skin. And part gives me a headache. Reminds me a bit of those strong floral fragrances of the 80’s like Realities. Nice but not for me.

alessgbc

Vey feminine and delicate, I feel it may smell a bit too young for some people tho
Definitely safe for a blind buy or as a gift :) Such a pretty scent for day time in summer or spring
I also think there are way more other good Marc Jacob's fragrances....

supergirl9412

I received a sample of Daisy, and my thoughts were “Yawn, boring” and “Oh no, didn’t Daisy give me a horrific headache the last time I tried it?” I decided to test it anyway, and boy, was I wrong on both accounts.

Daisy isn’t boring at all! The opening has a soft greenness and a sunny, solar feel .. very uplifting. That Marc Jacobs DNA is there .. the same that I get in Perfect .. kind of a watery freshness, in a very realistic “straight out of the shower” way. As it dries down, it becomes extremely comforting, velvety, and slightly sweet. The only thing I don’t love is the hint of lotus on my skin. Lotus always feels synthetic to me, so I do get a bit of laundry detergent. But that’s just on the skin … it’s not apparent in the cloud, thankfully.

And as far as the cause of the infamous headache, I’ve been thinking .. was it Daisy Dream I was wearing? Who knows! Anyway, the original Daisy is not headache-inducing (for me, at least).

It’s going on my wishlist, and until I can get a full bottle, I’ll be cherishing my sample.

auror

This is the perfume I run out the fastest among all the perfumes I have ever had and used. Safe for a blindbuy or as a gift. So lovely 💛

Durumi

I would buy this if i had money.

junimo

Great youthful perfume. Was a scent I would wear in high school and I really like it on others. But on me? BANANA! I thought I was crazy at first but when I'd point it out to my friends, they'd be shocked at the revelation. Nanners.

As someone who enjoys everything but bananas, I just couldn't stomach it. Gave 3/4 of a bottle to a dear friend and she cherished it.

Einfinken

This is such a nostalgic perfume for me. It was my go to day time scent for years in high school and into university. It's a scent that feels a little juvenile to me now, but it still never fails to put a smile on my face anytime I smell it out and about. This to me is a perfume that screams teenage girl but in the freshest, liveliest, best way possible.

gory-rilmore

This scent is delightful. Juicy-sour fruitiness, a touch of aquatic notes, all supporting the sunny florals. It's feminine and innocent but not not sweet, and it's noticeable but not heavy. It seems easily blind buy-able and gift-able because it's just that pleasant and agreeable and appropriate for any age.

But I don't think I'll get the full size for myself. It just doesn't feel like *me,* no matter how much I might like the smell.

Margoose

I bought this close to when it first came out, I was starting college and this was a playful fruity floral, perfect for that age and time. A few years later, I tossed what little was left in the bottle, feeling it too juvenile for someone nearing 30. The pani rolled around and i found myself craving the smell of this. I bought a full bottle and occasionally rock this in my mid-30s when i want something fresh and playful. The top notes always read as “apple” to me, but seeing grapefruit, strawberry, and violet leaf spelled out, it makes a certain amount of sense. the strawberry isn’t synthetic, sweet, or lip balmy, it’s juicy and sour, closer to a true, natural strawberry scent. This smells highly femme but isn’t overly sweet, it’s well blended and truly “perfume-y”, truer in style to the early 2000s designers than some fragrances with easier accords to pull out on their own. smack dab in fruity-floral territory, grounded by some woods to keep if from going into teen girl candy land. some people will hate it because it’s a crowd pleaser, a little ubiquitous at this point, a little youthful. I still think she’s a winner because she still smells just plain good. perfect for spring, mellow enough for summer.

Rober7a

A light, slightly aquatic floral perfume, feminine and delicate. Too floral for my personal taste, but if I smelled this on someone else, I'd think they smelled clean and elegant as long as it's not oversprayed. Imo a scent like this needs to be worn lightly to maintain it's airy and bright nature, as oversprayed I'm sure it would turn into a floral headache dominant in synthetic magnolia.

willowheartsperfume

this smells good but it is nothing special, just a nice fresh floral scent, i do enjoy it but it is just kind of basic to me

smellygirl13

not my favourite! if you don’t like the smell of jasmine this will likely not be great for you, gives me a headache with my skin chemistry as someone who leans towards warmer fragrances. definitely a youthful summer scent but not very exciting

prava.slava.mama

I love this one. I'm not at all concerned that it's popular. Nobody in my social circle (including me) can name other peoples' perfumes just by smelling them or would remotely care that they're wearing something common. (Actually, very few of my friends wear perfume at all.) Maybe if you are in a big city or on the dating scene or something, "standing out" would be more important to you, and that's fine, but it doesn't in the least bother me that some people might find this generic. I think it smells lovely and I happily wear it often.

This is my "big, perfume-y" fragrance. Despite other reviews I find this a heavy, dense perfume. At least, as heavy as I want to wear! It is light yet rich, with a quality almost like a heavier white wine... Chardonnay, not pinot grigio or sauv blanc. It sounds cheesy but the word "sparkling" really does suit this fragrance.

I'm in the minority again here, but I think it would be a bit "much" on a teenager and it suits me as a 30-something mother. It strikes a nice middle ground where it is youthful but definitely in the territory of grown-up perfume. I agree with the reviewer vsmr that it would be perfectly appropriate for night and I have enjoyed it in winter-- it really blooms under a cozy sweater! It's medium-loud and I can't overspray or it's too much. I get whiffs on my clothes into the next day, so I'd say longevity is impressive.

As for the notes, I would swear there's a blackcurrent in there, but I guess it's a strawberry! I can't pick out the violet, more's the pity, and I don't normally like vanilla in fragrances but in Daisy it's just smooth and very well-blended. The blond woods base is light yet grounding. The grapefruit is not photorealistic, but perks things up nicely, and I get gardenia if I am thinking about it but it's not coconutty as gardenia sometimes is. Again, it's really well-blended, others with better cultivated noses might pick out the notes better but I get one distinct, unified, lovely scent. (Also, what is "blood grapefruit" in the note pyramid supposed to mean? That's not a thing...)

I will say that I don't care for the bottle. I think it looks tacky. I have the mini dabber and it's cute. I just invested in a decant and may someday own a FB.

Frgrncxgrl

This is a captivating, joy inducing fragrance. What I get from this is green-leaning jasmine and woody notes for the majority of its journey. White musk seems to intensify the jasmine making it more soapy. The vanilla note is working over time to bring some warmth to the fragrance, barely successful though.

I’m not into fresh, clean or green scents so this one is what i reach out to when I’m in the mood for something more airy and light but still has traits of sweet, feminine soft florals.

astralmonad870

I will not buy any more Marc Jacobs Daisy perfumes after hearing that they contain carcinogens and other chemicals that are bad for the human endocrine system. This actually goes for all designer perfumes. Buy all-natural dupes if you don't want breast cancer. I would post this warning on all the Daisy pages on Fragrantica if I had the time.

ash96

I love daisy because It is associated with a lot of memories from my highschool days/early adulthood. It's a bright, clean, fresh, fruity scent. A bit underwhelming but extremely versatile. It is also one of the few fragrances I consider safe for a blind buy.

vsmr

I really like this perfume! I gifted it to my sister but just recently tested in on my skin and it was amazing! I can’t stop smelling myself. It’s so beautiful and inoffensive and it lasts. Office safe and, contrary to people’s votes, I could use this at night and fall time. 10/10

The13thHour

You can't go wrong with Daisy. It's so nostalgic and it will always be a go-to. I think a lot of people can say they have a lot of memories of their youth and young adult years tied to this perfume. This will never get old.

jhindsb

A total staple. What’s not to love? Bright, fresh, juicy, feminine. A floral fragrance for those who don’t typically go for floral. Daisy is so reminiscent of my teens and early 20s. It’s just so pretty and youthful and nostalgic.

mrebjam

The first scent I ever fell in love with. I still love it to this day! It smells like spring and early summer - like waking up in clean sheets and then rolling around in a dew covered clover field. There is a sexiness to its innocence. I am always looking for new scents that are equally fresh and floral.

softhe

Definitely a staple scent from my teenage years! I smelled it again recently and I was instantly nostalgic. Fresh, youthful, playful, yet at the same time slightly dated, and generic with rows of dupes and flankers to follow. Daisy wouldn't be much my taste these days, but I'll always have a certain appreciation for it.

luanneog

Fruity floral and fresh in a soapy way. It opens up crisp, sharp and citrusy. A very clean, bright and uplighting everyday scent. Youtful yet for everyone. I wore it a lot back in the day. I still appreciate it but I'm over it now.

emibebi

Just bought it today I’m honestly enjoying wearing it at home etc it’s not strong and doesn’t really project but I’m enjoying it. I wish I could find some nice gardenia tuberose perfumes as I can’t find Michael kors Michael kors anymore :(

brightawake

This is super sweet on me with some powder and some fruit, almost like Smarties candy, and has a midpoint of a flower bouquet that’s just about to rot. There’s something overripe to it. It’s like those Dutch still life paintings where the fruit looks bright at first glance, but when you look closer some is showing hints of decay and there’s a fly or two. It might just be my chemistry, which tends to turn vanilla and musk super sweet. Regardless, I absolutely love it. The hint of overripe, oversweet fruits and flowers feels a little carnal, while the base is all innocence.

LycheeSun

Tried as had heard good things about this fragrance, however, very disappointed and dislike smell, can only detect daisy and smells a bit too boring and has a weird scent that sticks in your nose in a not so-good way

cherryflavoredantacid

A pretty scent. I couldn't really detect the strawberry notes at all which is sad to me, but it was overall sweet initially and then it dried down to a nostalgic floral vibe. idk, there's just something about it that reminds me of the 90s. Maybe 90s babies can understand this one, but maybe it smells similar to a scent that was around back then. Through research, Daisy came out originally in 2007 so it's not like it's a really vintage scent palette. Maybe i'm getting 90s vibes just because it's fresh and reminds me of a perfume that my mom would wear. So it's comforting. It lasted an okay amount of time on me. Probably by hour 8 it was pretty much gone. I liked it enough to keep using up my sample but i'm just looking for something else, so I don't think I would buy a full bottle. There wasn't really any wow-factor about this scent. It's nice and inoffensive. If you're looking to dive into florals then this would be a safe blind buy.

Lilah_lilah2023

It's a vibrant, youthful scent, woody and floral, while also being citrusy and particular. The citrusy/ grapefruit notes make me not love it, yet they are what makes this perfume so unique. I think it fits for a young girl with lots of personality, I don't really feel it's the right perfume for me now that I've grown older but I still like to wear it sometimes. The bottle is absolutely adorable too!

Lauren387

I used to like this a lot but I recently received the 3.4 oz gift set and I don't like it as much as I remember. I also do not hate it. It's floral and bright which are delightfully appealing qualities. But this is predictable and a bit boring for me. Though I like sweet fragrances, I prefer sweet notes from boozey vanilla instead of jasmine and gardenia. It is also juicy. In a blind test, this could belong to the DKNY apple line from the early 2000s.

HeatherNS

I received a sample card, so I have not smelled it on skin. Me and my boyfriend both agreed that this has a subtle hint of banana, oddly enough. He said green banana, which was my thought exactly. Fresh, floral, green banana.

sandraogsyl

Nice smell, but to weak and a bit boring. Very casual and forgettable.

pynchbookclub

This is a very sweet, nice, pleasant perfume, but its just not me. I'm a gourmand girly and hate florals, which this mostly is. I also get some peach in this fragrance for some reason even though it's not in the notes. I had a sample of this and am giving it to my friend who will enjoy it more.

freshperfumer

Reminds me of too much the Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT! I have never thought the Daisy would smell similar to Eau Tendre. In general, not offensive, causal, spring/summer fragrance, it's like the Eau Tendre without its similarity to Lancome's Miracle, for me. Not my type, but still a good choice for a gift/blind buy. Nice to try!

bluebilledmagpie

white flowers on a clear, bright day. sweet but confident, fresh faced. think squinting to watch clouds, re-applying lipgloss, full days that turn into even fuller nights. a wink and a kiss on the cheek.

Kozache

Great casual smell even for Florida.

samjonesdiary

Cute concept, takes me back to sampling frag out of my friend's 17 mag. I wore it before going to cardio and i like it better after getting kinda sweaty.

giantenemykat

got this in a sampler set along with gucci gorgeous gardenia, i’ve been comparing the two non-stop and i think i’m gonna go with daisy. i wanted this when i was a young tween, and it still smells amazing. i’ve always been a big fan of white florals lol. it’s so sweet and clean. it’s soft, girly, and opens up very crisp with the grapefruit especially. timeless classic

saho93

At first, it smells like fresh floral, but in a few minutes turns green to me. I am not a fan of green notes. Glad I tried it though.

vibrant.girl

Such a great 'lifting' perfume for anyone who likes feminine and soft scents - or anyone who wants a floral that isn't rose-focused. Like most MJ scents, it's not complicated or especially refined but it is very lovely. I prefer the Daisy Love line to the OG Daisy, but I like a little extra sweetness!

style1015

Daisy is a fairly safe blind buy in that I don't think it would be offensive to anyone. It's very similar to the likes of Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel. Crisp, clean, a little musky with feminine, transparent florals. It's a versatile scent suitable for daytime in warmer weather - and can be an easy-reach every day scent or go-to office scent. To me there's nothing particularly groundbreaking about this fragrance, but it's certainly likable.

The opening is crisp and bright with the grapefruit and slightly green violet leaf. Then the florals come through- they're not too screechy nor too creamy either, and then the musk rounds it all out. Clean, feminine, crisp. It's a nice DNA but not something I'm rushing out to buy.

candieslove

This is a safe blind buy. It is a light scent that is not overbearing. I'm not going to lie, I bought this because of the cute bottle. It smells good, the blend of grapefruit and violets are just pleasing. I just wish this perfume last long so I wont have to reapply every hour.

tilapia_johnson

I love this despite its poor performance. So very 2010s. Pulpy white grapefruit and sweet strawberry with violet and musk. Clean and put-together, but most importantly hard to dislike. It dries down to a soft powder that feels youthful and angelic. Really nice gift for a teen.

stephm42120

After owning Daisy Eau So Intense and finding it too sweet for my liking, I never thought about checking out the original until now. I absolutely love that the original has everything I was missing in Eau So Intense. That one retains the original’s dna but it has a honeyed strawberry accord amped up with benzoin and amber. This one to me is fresh strawberry-scented laundry detergent. Musky, fruity, fresh white florals — it has a little bit of everything and it will always be a classic for all ages.

princessproxy101

Loved this perfume it was the first perfume I ever bought on my own as a teenager, it is a powdery, woody, musk, and floral scent that comes together beautifully.

Sexbox1814

If you want a floral Fresh long lasting feminine scent this is perfect college girl or if your young starting to get into your perfume it’s a good starter

violaodorata

A pleasant fresh non-perfume scent. If Daisy was a color, it would be a crisp, light blue, like a clear blue sky very early in the morning, just before or when the sun starts to rise. The air is fresh and a little chilly, but you can tell that it’s going to be a warm, sunny day. I mostly get green, fresh violet leaf, sweet violet, and squeaky-clean musk, and there are moments when a fruity tartness from strawberry and grapefruit peeks through. It comes across as aldehydic and ozonic, like fresh laundry! It smells like a hug from a person who just got dressed after the shower and who has a very nice laundry detergent or fabric softener. Daisy isn't really my type of scent, but I do enjoy smelling like that hug and that person sometimes, especially in the summer. I understand why it’s such a well-loved modern classic, because you can’t really go wrong with wearing a clean and inoffensive perfume like this one! The lasting power is okay, but it quickly becomes a skin-scent on me. I must sniff my wrist very closely to be able to smell it. Overall, the performance leaves me wishing for more.

Amber Plokchouli

Daisy is an aptly named perfume, as the flower daisy is a pretty, but somewhat bland flower, and so is this perfume.

It’s a very perfumy scent, in which the individual notes don’t really stand out. It’s pretty and light, and I guess it’s well liked, because it has a sparkly quality. To me however, nothing truly stands out to make it interesting. I’ve had a bottle of this for years and I hardly reach for it, because I’m not drawn to it. It’s too bland, too synthetic and too generic.
It also doesn’t fit into my preferred scent profile. I lean more towards chypres, orientals and natural smelling fragrances and there are few florals I’m very excited about. None of that is Daisy’s fault, which is why I voted a like rather than a meh (it’s in between those two).

This is a pleasant, inoffensive scent for the office and for daily use. I personally think at that price point something more interesting can be found. I think a cheap dupe of this could actually end up being more interesting and complex as there is very little development on the skin, and I don’t detect any natural smelling notes.
The bottle is definitely cute, which did impact my own decision to buy this, but there are plenty of cute bottles.

Is it worth the price? In my opinion it’s somewhat overpriced for what it is. There are plenty of cheapies that have a lot more complexity. Yesterday I wore and reviewed Elizabeth Arden’s 5th Avenue, which is also a bright and sparkly floral, and it has a lot more complexity and character for a fraction of the price (although It’sa very different scent altogether.. it does have a similarly happy, youthful vibe, just with a more vintage feel).
To me Daisy smells like a celebrity fragrance. It’s okay, but nothing special, and should be priced like a celebrity fragrance. Some of the flankers might be more interesting though.

moncherrie

I tested a Daisy lime scent a while ago and at first I thought it was mediocre, but as I continued to smell it and top notes dissipated, I started to love it! I honestly don’t remember which one it was at this point, I think it was either Daisy or Daisy Dream, but I decided to go test out all the Daisy scents because of it, and by doing so, I fell in love with Daisy!
It starts off as described, with kind of a burst of fruity and floral notes, nothing special, but as the base and heart notes come out, it becomes a warm, comforting, but also clean scent. I think it’s the musk and a little bit of wood annd vanilla alongside the floral. Whatever it is, it’s so nice! It’s so light and charming, and honestly weirdly comforting? On me, it almost has a skin scent type smell because of the ozonic notes, which I loveeeee.
I always thought I would hate musk and woody notes and prefer sweet fruity scents, but personally I’ve found that a lot of truly sweet scents end up being very cloying to me, and scents with a nice creamy musk are very inoffensive and appealing. I also really dislike strong wood and spice in fruity/floral scents (Princess by Vera Wang) because the spice in the wood is what sticks to my skin and stays in my nose. But despite its sandalwood notes on paper, Daisy is truly clean and comforting, and I don’t get any insufferable woodsy spice.

Would definitely recommend, especially to those new to perfume who are struggling to find something that doesn’t bother your senses. :)

inchukalns

Cute, clean, fresh feminine scent, very floral. When I smell this I picture a young girl running across a spring field. Very safe daytime fragrance, great to wear in the office or gym. It's ok but not special. Not sexy or seductive, wouldn't wear it on a date or to a night out. But I can see myself wearing it on my wedding with a white dress on :)

Thranduil

A bouquet of wild violets with hints of grapefruit and strawberry.

I prefer Daisy Eau So Intense as that one is much heavier on the strawberry and its sweet moss dry down in to die for. But, I can't picture my perfume collection without a bottle of the original Daisy present. I adore the smell of wild violets too too much to disregard the original Daisy in favor of Daisy Eau So Intense.

Simple. Cute. Fresh.

It may be "generic" compared to its contemporaries and compared to the perfumes that have come after it, but without question the original Daisy continues to be a stunner.

HannahRosesAreRed

"Daisy" by Marc Jacobs was one of those ubiquitous scents back in the 2000s, when fresh, fruity and ozonic florals ruled the day. This was also the era of Dior J'Adore, Estee Lauder Pleasures, Clinique Happy and all its flankers, and of course, the first perfume of many a 2000s girl, Elizabeth Arden's Sunflowers. Daisy was very much part of this movement, with juicy grapefruit and bright strawberry in the opener, gentle white florals–specifically the slightly soapy note of gardenia–at the heart, and light blond woods at the base. It's as sweet, innocent and inoffensive a fragrance as you can get, hence its appeal to so many young women.

Nowadays, Daisy might come across as too generic or nondescript to many, especially in this fragrance landscape of more niche perfumes. However, there is nothing at all wrong with it. It's pleasant, gentle, performs decently, and for the price, is a respectable fragrance. I could see this being used after the shower at the gym, or simply just to freshen up on those days when it's just too hot out. It's also an excellent choice for a "training wheels" perfume, a more innocent and innocuous option for young women just starting their fragrance journeys, in contrast to the overt sweetness and sexiness of the Victoria's Secret offerings.

soapal

This was my first perfume, so I might be slightly biased. I think its a pretty fresh scent, and I like the layering of flowers. I do think its slightly more playful, not something to wear to a night out but more of a daytime/ work scent. People will probably think you smell nice, but it doesn't elicit much compliments. These days, it smells a bit juvenile to me, but definitely still a solid spring/summery scent. Very clean scent, very nice packaging. I will not purchase again, and suggest considering more unique scents if looking to purchase.

Haya215

It’s super easy to wear for daily office ladies at around 25-35. Common fragrance.

ReeReeLove

Lately notes of strawberry have been turning me off. But I love it in here due to the way it blends with the violet. This is so fresh and very clean smelling. I know a lot of people find Marc Jacob fragrances boring and kind of cookie cutter but that's ok to me. I can appreciate a fragrance for what is without trying to compete or be compared to what other fragrances are.

katherina.1

So, I have totally slept on this one💛

I really love Byredo Mojave Ghost and I was told this was similar.. and oh boy, they absolutely are! This has actually more silage and I just love it so so much. Very clean girl aesthetic.

I usually wear perfumes with more “personality” but when I just want to feel fresh and clean, this and Mojave Ghost from Byredo is my go to.

Even though it has great silage, it’s not heavy at all. Very uplifting. One can definitely wear this all year around but the best time would be spring and summer, in my opinion.

npadua13

I got a mini bottle of this in a Sephora sampler. It smells nice and fresh. I could see this being good for a hot humid day or in the office. It’s a bit too weak for me. I wouldn’t be buying a full size as it’s just kinda basic. I will be trying the au so intense version in the royaltyscents subscription as I’m hoping that one is a bit better in performance.

Kate_the_Iris

Absolutely loved the bottle, very pretty cap. The scent is fresh, sunny, light and something I could wear to the university, office and the dinner date. Very versatile. Probably the only fragrance that does not give headaches to anyone.

The only issue I had with this perfume is that its longevity is zero and projection is also zero. It fades away so quickly, unless you constantly reapply, no chance it would last a full day. That was the only reason I stopped buying it. Otherwise I think it is a unique scent and serves as a base for all the other versions of its further variations (which also suffer from the same issue of not being a lasting fragrance).

foxyfloozy

Loved this on a friend of a friend and later decided to buy myself a bottle. Although I like it, I don't love it anymore. Maybe it was the woman's body chemistry that worked better with it than mine. On me it smells a bit bland and boring, but that does make it suitable for office wear. It's quite fresh and innocent and doesn't seem to develop much. So, to spice it up, I personally like layering it with some (solid) Lust from Lush. This adds a bit more depth and somewhat sweeter floral sexiness.

MercyA

I love the development of this fragrance, but there is something in the top notes that makes me feel like I'm smelling palm oil, or some other heavy oil. It kind of makes me nauseous. I smell it in 'Daisy Eau So Fresh' and I believe in COAR's 'Bite Me. Luckily the oil smell goes away in about an hour, but I'm wondering if anyone else has a similar experience 🤔

violeteme

Eau Tendre meets Mojave Ghost. Very in between, less fruity than Eau Tendre, more classical powdery and less cloying than Mojave Ghost, this is perfect in between. Violet is beautiful here and the perfumes smells completely ageless.

bethmouatt

cant figure out whether i like it or not. very overpowering opening but settles into a sweet fresh floral scent. not my cup of tea as it smells of baby wipes but it’s tolerable

Lykopa

Sweet, floral and smells like the perfume section of CVS. This is the perfect Baby’s First Big Girl Perfume. Violet, but not in an old lady way - violet that is soapy and zingy. Generic, but good for layering.

agejo

i seriously don't get the hype around this perfume, like at all. i suppose it's for people who prefer VERY light scents? i'm not a fan of floral scents already because most of them are extremely light, but this one i literally can't smell it ???? at all ??? each to their own i suppose, but it's WAY too pricey for something of this quality, lol..

Andy224

Very nice, fresh and versatile EDT w/Ok longevity.

julie1212

for a couple months i LOVED this perfume and used it everyday, but now when i put it on it it gives off a WOOD VARNISH SMELL?? and it feels sticky? i have no idea what’s going on and i’m scared now because i loved this perfume. has anyone experienced the same thing? ?

ihatedaisywth

this smells like olive oil wth

CLeeK

My much younger cousin used to wear this when it first came out - she was probably in middle school - and I was in my late 20's. I thought it was pretty and inoffensive, but most people that wore this practically bathed in it - this was in Miami, and the heat and humidity cause this fragrance to bloom excessively. And so I never bothered to try it because it was just so ubiquitous, and smelling like everyone else wasn't something I cared for. But then a few years ago, I received a small bottle - which sat, untested and untried. I finally cracked it open recently, and found that on me it smells of soapy shampoo, hairspray, and banana peel. Fresh and light, with that dusty violet note that somehow always makes me smell clean. It's very enjoyable and safe, but I probably won't buy a FB. I'll just enjoy it from time to time while it lasts. Definitely takes me back to the early 2000's!

jazzscent13

I remember wanting this fragrance when I was in high school, but couldn’t afford it. So when I had a chance to smell this as an adult, it was a hard pass for me. It’s kinda dated to my nose now. It reminds me of the early 2000s. It’s straight violet with a little vanilla in the background .

There’s a few people I can see this being good for:
1. I could see this being a good scent for the work place ( it’s very inoffensive)

2. A good gift for a younger girl first perfume
(ages: 13-18)

3. Or perhaps for someone who use to own this, and want to repurchase for nostalgic reasons….

****But it’s a pass for me.

perfumelovere

I think the first half hour is pleasant with the top notes but the remainder is powdery and I tend to recoil with powdery woody dry downs. My aunt wore this one time meeting out for lunch and I found it off putting.

Ferrerorocher

It’s a very light fresh smell. It’s a nice smell, just wished it was stronger.

Feisha1984

Ok..so I’ve been testing this. I realize I’m extremely late on the Daisy train but I just never felt compelled to try it. There have been too many reviews saying it’s a poor performer. I live in the southern US and the humidity can get crazy..”air you can wear”..so unfortunately I have to say that the performance is horrendous with this fragrance. As we say down here, “weak as well water”. Skin scent is literal within an extremely short period of time..like you have to have your nose against your skin in order to smell it. It’s so unfortunate because it truly is a beautiful and refreshing scent.

dandeli0n

I have to buy because Selena Gomez wears it lol

RobynCrabtree

Pretty, happy, flirty, and perfect for spring time! This is an office friendly scent that is sure to have mass appeal (which explains it's continued popularity and flankers through the years). Unfortunately, it was also the signature scent of one of my previous bosses, so I have some negative associations with it :-(

libralopx

You really can’t go wrong with the classic Daisy by Marc Jacobs. It’s clean, sweet, comforting, it smells like youth and lace dresses in the spring. I would probably purchase this one if I saw it in sale, it’s super pretty and feminine.

amaliacm12

Fresh flowers. Perfect for after a shower to smell clean and beautiful. You don't have to think about it too much. Longevity is decent. Everyday wear and it's nostalgic at the same time. 8/10

harperpeshhe

Daisy is a fun super girly fruity floral that radiates sunshine. It is smooth, clean and fresh. This was the one that re-kicked off my fragrance obsession again in 2020. There are a few that I find extremely similar namely Byredo Mohave Ghost and Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers Summer Bloom and none of them have been able to improve on longevity which is probably the only bad drawcard to Daisy. Although I have moved on from Daisy and won’t revisit, it will always hold happy and fun memories with my family in our yard during the stressful times of the beginning of pandemic lockdowns.

Jordan 99

I remember when I first time saw Daisy somewhere in magazine, I knew I have to have it, I’m such a sucker on everything related flower shape. I run to store to get it for my birthday, I couldn’t wait to sniff it, first time I sniff it I was in complete shock, is was nothing like I was imagining it to be. I left only with rollerball hoping that I’ll develop some love for daisy. Rollerball roll down from vanity after 2 weeks and break down. I never got full bottle. Now after 15 years I finely got daisy empty bottle just enough juice to test it one more time, hoping my taste has change and I can finely get it. Nope, i remember it being better, It reminds me of waking up after long party night, when I just crushed in to bed without shower, in the morning there was some leftover of cosmetics and perfumes I used night before. It just doesn’t smell clean, no matter if on paper or skin or straight from bottle it just doesn’t smell clean, there is something ammonia-ish end to it. I apologize to Daisy cult, but I really really tried hard to like this one. I wander how popular daisy is in parallel universe where daisy is sold in plain uninteresting bottle under name ‘hangover’

LaurengeCounty

Looked for something out of my comfort zone, walked around Ulta for an hour sniffing. Normally I’m a gourmand gal, but decided to try the Daisy because it had a travel size.
Holy guac. I LOVED it. Smelled like a young summer’s day on me. Snapped it up and surprisingly it pairs perfectly with honey notes (which is normally all I wear).

north43star

To my nose it’s bananas with some green peas in the background. So weird and so off-putting. It’s a pass.

alinadaisy05

bananas…

pinkdiamond1

I like this a little bit, but not a lot. It smells floral, but there is almost a hint of banana in there, even though there is no banana note. I do find it a little bit boring, but it's easy to throw on when I can't figure out what to wear.

Atomikbomb_

*sigh* 😕

I want to finally review this honestly.

Daisy is a sacred cow amongst Millennials, and I've never understood why exactly. Is it the bottle? Is it the marketing? Is it the idea that this is so light and such a departure from Gen-X's bombastic florals? I'm still not entirely sure.

I observe womens' enthusiasm when reminiscing over Daisy, or remarking on their current, unfading affection of it with a polite nod and something like - 'That's cool! Fragrances are so special, and so are our scent memories...'
- as my gaze drifts off into the beyond so that I don't reveal my actual boredom and dissatisfaction with the perfume itself. I try to be polite, I truly do, but none of it makes sense.

There are better perfumes IMO from Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Pacifica, Zara, or whatnot. Some are even fragrance mists and outdo this scent both in composition and performance.

So, the scent itself to me has always come across as a very light blue floral, not yellow. It's decidedly *cool*, and feels thin; unfinished. It desperately needs a woodier backbone, or more musk...or something. The opening of fruits is alright, but they're short-lived. Ultimately, it's a light, indistinct, floral-y blue melange of things. "Violet leaf"? Possibly? But it doesn't smell like violet leaf that I've encountered before.

I absolutely adore violet, and would probably really enjoy this if it was more notable.

Maybe it's a problem with me and I'm missing the point. Maybe my nose is just made for perfumes with more *presence*, but this perfume has never struck up much inside of my heart beside boredom. I don't hate it, but I find it all to be bothersome as a whole.

Ludicolo

This smells like a musky/floral green apple to me, like apple scented shampoo.
Simple, pleasant and fresh.
Very easy to wear.
That's it.

reginasiena

Years ago I am crazy about this parfume. My inner teenage memory stay in this parfume. The opening was very fresh strawberry and stay for a while. Not too sweet and refreshing. Flirty in an elegant way. Somehow I need to spray a lot to have a good sillage. Longevity also moderate which is fine for edt. Safe for summer day!

chicagogirl

As a millennial I feel like this perfume will always have a soft spot in my heart. For millennial women this came out around the time a lot of us were starting to become adults, going to college, and were starting to get more into perfumes. She's up there with Miss Dior Cherie, Chloe, Coco Mademoiselle and Flowerbomb. A modern, unforgettable classic IMO and I still don't find this boring. It just has such a suneshine-y free spirited, carefree summer days vibe to it. Like you're a big city girl who took a road trip to the countryside on your summer day off, and you're sitting in the middle of a big flower field that is surrounded by a pretty wooden fence. The sun is shining, there is a warm breeze. You have some strawberry sorbet in your picnic basket. This perfume has wannabes like Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but Daisy is better simply because she is the OG. Love this one and always will!!

sophia <3

Daisy will forever be one of my favourite perfumes. A very well balanced fragrance. It's strong yet not overpowering, lasts a long time, and has pretty good sillage. Very floral obviously, but not shallow like some other floral fragrances in that it has a fruity, young, essence to it. To me, it smells pretty and nostalgic. It smells expensive (which makes sense because it's designer) but also adolescent and free rather than that 'old lady smell' that many floral and designer perfumes can radiate.

Overall a very good purchase, a safe blind buy, and a pretty, versatile scent that can be worn everyday and for formal occasions.

mariminney

This is very inoffensive, soft, girly, clean floral scent. I know it’s “basic” but I can see it on a springtime stroll. Bit classy

daisybrown

untethered soul, strawberry fields, study notes, acoustic guitar, horseback

Shui-Xian

I had prejudices about Daisy. I was testing Daisy-Love and I really didn't like it. However, daisies are my favourite flower: I wanted to give this perfume a chance. And I am satisfied.

There are no daisies in the compositon but the fragrance is similar to them: gentle, nobly dry and slightly bitter. The flowers, violets and jasmine, are polite and sophisticated.

The strawberries give the perfume sweetness and juiciness, but mild and even in its syntenticity smells lovely.

The base is feminine, warm and woodiness isn't dark. Moreover this scent is bright, airy and comforting. Graceful floral scent, timeless and attracitve.

Intimate sillage and average longevity: about 5 hours top.

tgirl1991

I have mixed feelings about this one. To be fair, I do think it smells better on the skin than it does in the bottle, and it has a chance to warm up. In the bottle it smells very generic floral perfume, nothing special, and it gets progressively sweeter with the vanilla notes, which isn't bad. I got it as a gift and I probably wouldn't have otherwise picked it for myself. There are so many more interesting and unique perfumes out there and this is just kind of basic. Honestly, for that reason, it probably does make a good gift since it's pretty inoffensive.

Scent Description: Floral and Sweet
Sillage: Arms Length
Longevity: Medium, 3-5 Hrs
Presentation: Cute bottle with two big flexible flowers on the cap.

DearAlexabell

This is the perfume every teenage girl gets as their first perfume because they have no taste yet and haven't been able to explore all the different scents OR this is a perfume people bought strictly cause the bottle. I am not convinced this is anyone's favorite scent. This is the basic of the basics scents, it's a overly floral nauseating headache smell. She's insanely popular but nobody knows why, probably because she's a looker; I mean look at that bottle MEMORABLE ingrained in your brain forever. But scent wise is a strong dislike... I don't recommend. Before I got into perfume I took this off my sister's vanity to wear on a date cause I needed some perfume to wear and on the date the guy was like "you're wearing daisy by marc jacobs" and I was like how did you know?!?! and he was like "oh because my ex's all wore it too" and in that moment I realized it was the most basic B scent and I don't want to be a reminder of this man's exs lol. He also told me he hates floral perfumes and we eventually later in life sampled way more perfumes together and it birthed my love for gourmands, warm, and spicy scents. So this had a happy ending, but moral of story: get better taste and stop buying Daisy.

Forgetmenot91

This perfume was gifted to me for my 17th birthday by my friends. I still love it! The smell reminds me of dandelion fields growing outside the apartment building I lived in when I was little. I think it'll always have a special place in my heart. I think the sileage and projection is moderate.

moonbird33

Like everyone says, it's basic. And like many others, this was the first "real" perfume I owned. A very pretty floral scent, light and powdery. I am in no rush to buy this again, but if it were handed to me, I would be very happy to wear it.

chrissay

I like it. But it's very delicate, to the point where I have to search for the scent even immediately after spraying it.

searching for signature

I got a roller ball of this in middle school as my first “grown up” perfume. Reminds me of feeling pretty in the way a child feels pretty. Very pretty, delicate, basic scent. Not something I would buy today but still lovely.

minipistachio

This is a bright, sunny and inoffensive floral fragrance. Perfect for the office or if you want to give off clean girl vibes. I imagine a girl who would wear this is a very happy-go-lucky, cheerful, and bubbly sort of girl. She has her shit together and nothing can get her down.

When I smell this, I picture myself in the meadow in the valley of Yosemite. There’s no one else in the world except me and my poodle chihuahua dog. I’m watching her run around in the fresh, dewy grass with the biggest smile on her face. It’s 7 am in morning and a little brisk, but the sun is out and the sky is blue with some light cloud coverage. There’s dew on the grass and yellow flowers. That’s Daisy! Quiet, fresh, peaceful, dewy, feminine, floral, cheerful.

This holds a special place in my heart because everyone I know says this smells like me in a bottle. I think I’m a little more offensive and rugged, but I’ll take it!

Yami666

My ex adores this scent and had recommended it to me. Too bad it smells generic to me, especially the powdery note. The floral is pretty nice, bright and cheerful, yet when the powdery begins to release, this perfume just turns into a make up pouch.

I don't dislike it though. Overall it has the character of an independent cheerful feminine figure to me. I'm imagining an office worker with decent wage and proper lifestyle, she knows what she likes and knows how to manage to achieve it. Not an ambitious type of person who's pursuing success in life, she just enjoys life and deal with it. Friendly but not cheap, tender but not weak, just like the blooming daisy under the warm sun.

But the powdery note--it smells distinctively like a make up pouch--really gives an impression of a woman who's aware of their appearance and its importance in their life, a woman who always try to consider crowds opinion and behave accordingly. That's why putting make up is inseparable with her daily life. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though, it's just makes me feel tired from just having this image in my head along with each sniffs from this fragrance.

Herwitchinesss

This is a very flat, boring fragrance. It's inoffensive, but really does nothing for me. On my skin, you get the top notes for 2 minutes before it becomes just a very flat, lifeless powder violet & that's the only scent for the rest of the time it is on me. Longevity is okay, sillage is moderate. It's just a very young, beige scent.

h149

There's definitely something to appreciate about this scent and I can see why so many people like it; at the same time I can see why it does nothing for the more serious perfume enthusiast. I understand why everyone is moved to describe it as "cute," "detergent," "deodorant," "dryer sheets,"...and it's definitely a far cry from "sophisticated, seductive, and dazzling." It makes me think of the way a girl smells after she's showered using various scented products that all kind of merge together to smell "clean." At its best there is something bouncy and sassy in it that I enjoy, almost certainly the influence of the grapefruit and strawberry. It's also soft and surprisingly lovely in a sleepy way on the drydown, like it's saying good night as it departs.

It's just Daisy, just as simple and inoffensive as the flower it's named for.

Cornwallis

One of my favorite perfumes ever, I literally have 3 bottles of this because I can't get enough of it. It's just so good. The problem is that I can't smell any of the main notes.

BromeisterBryce

This is simply the best perfume ever made. Period. It’s just so fresh and floral. So well rounded. I cannot express how much I love this fragrance. My wife likes more Ambery sweet scents but she always says that she gets compliments on this every time she leaves the house. As a male smelling this, it makes me weak in the knees. It is just pure perfection.

Longevity? Meh like 4 hours maybe
Projection? Arms length 3 hours. After that its intimate (but sheesh it’s a good intimate scent)

Buy it. It’s so fuggin good.

QuincesI

Comment for the EDT version.

I bought this perfume blindly during Covid, when all the perfume shops were closed and we all needed... I don't know, something. Maybe not my ideas were clear at the time. But this perfume has never provoked any emotion in my brain.

I think it's flat, soft, boring... I can't even distinguish the notes, except for this clean and flat gardenia, completely denatured (literally). Impossible to smell any notes of violet or vanilla, near or far. It just smells clean, like shampoo for little girls, like a perfumed notebook for well-behaved children. In short, it's completely artificial, but not even disturbing enough to make me want to criticize it carefully.

Few perfumes have managed to leave me so unmoved.

Fresh spring meadow

darlingdior94

Something about this fragrance gives me school notebook paper.

Zombie Apocalypse

I really like this ALOT even though not my target age group. The bottle makes it young but the juice is really universal I think. Its an inoffensive floral thats slightly violety/powdery on dry down. I smell Mimosa too but its not listed as a note. This is one of those rare perfumes that can be worn almost any occasion. Weddings, office, job interview, date night, dinner with friends, formal events, movies, sunday lunch, it is so universal. Although tbh it is not a sexy/sultry fragrance. So if you are going clubbing or you need a sexy fragrance Daisy might not really work.😂 But I like it alot and think it suits almost any other occasion and can be worn autumn, spring and summer without worries.

Egg69

Got this as a free sample with another purchase, so I can't comment on the price. I don't like how it smells when it first goes on my skin (too floral) but after ~5 mins the violet has started to come out and I like it a bit more. If you like "sea breeze"/floral scents and very youthful feminine smells, you'll probably like this. Unfortunately for me, those are three categories I tend to dislike XD. It holds its own in what it is, it's just not my personal taste. Think maiden archetype that gradually ages into a mother who keeps an external tinge of innocence, but becomes a bit edgier as she grows up. I think this would be great for a young woman in her tweens/ early teens (think ~11-14 years old) or an adult woman who has a natural youthful femininity to her. For me... my skin is literally itchy from it.

Jasmineaeisha

Bought this not realizing it smells exactly like Versace Yellow Diamond (Which I can’t stand!) But I know many love. So if you like that then check this out

lightglow

I have to imagine if you're buying this today it's because of the cute flower on the bottle, or maybe it's your niece's first perfume. Strong, bright opening flowery notes and nothing else. Not exactly plesasant.

ellovesperfume

boring. smells like deoderant

mhubbard1961

This was a boring disappointment. To say it smells of laundry detergent, well not really. No one at the office will complain

Gyps

Rank. I can’t tolerate violets. Nasty stuff.

babydcll

my mom has it and sometimes i wear it too.smells like baby powder and flower bouquet.cute, soft and clean.

panyadoll

This is…cute. That’s it. Soft, innocent, girlish. It lacks the depth, sexiness, and womanliness that I like in a perfume. It isn’t necessarily juvenile, however I imagine this as a good fit for a fashionable young girl’s first perfume. Not for me, however.

Owpillow

Too strong for my taste, scent is also not my preference. Only have this bottle because my mom misremembered Daisy Dream (which I do like) for this one. I don’t like it from the beginning spray until the dry down :(

malindajoquinn

Smells like dryer sheets. Laundry detergent.

begim

One of my friends gave me this perfume in a tiny cute bottle, and it was my cute, clean girl perfume. It is feminine but not in a sexy way. Floral, sunny, and fresh, it is a spring&summer perfume. Also, this friend of mine had migraine and Daisy was a scent she used very fondly, so we can say it is migraine-friendly. :D

blackcat02

Basic but good. I used to have this but never reached for it. Sampling it again and it’s exactly the same to me. Good old faithful daisy lol

Rosiewebber

I like this one, it’s a pretty floral, fresh, powdery, sweet. However, the longevity is terrible, 2 hours and it’s completely gone on me, and the silage isn’t great either. It’s such a shame because it really is a lovely scent, but I can’t justify the cost when it doesn’t last.
I actually prefer Daisy eau so fresh, it was my signature scent for a long time, and gives a slightly better performance.

cecilysmells

I used to wear this in middle school and it smells good butt you can smell a lot of alchohol.

ca$hm3re

The most boring of all the Daisy range… literally any of the other flankers are better.

My order is…

Eau so fresh (smells similar to Chanel chance, so pretty and fun and girly)

Dream (the smell that made me fall in love with designer perfume - dainty and classy)

Love eau so sweet (pretty and girly but fresh too, not one I’d want to repurchase though)

This one (nice but not got much about it, just not worth spending the money on)

Love (i am nose blind to this one so can’t pass judgment on it)

fwuity

out of the bottle this is very watery-fresh like a sweet drop of dew, with the warm sun reflecting on cool and clear waters.

on my skin it becomes warmer, and loses the touch of freshness, but still has a dewy feeling, like drinking sweet waters from a forest brook. It's really a lovely scent. Innocent-like. wish it lasted longer 😓

Veronica1962

Very pleasant sweet floral fragrance. There is nothing amazing about it but I would still recommend it if you like a nice floral scent for the spring time. 7.5/10

KamBam

On me, this starts as fresh cut grass on a spring day then dries down to a white floral with green notes. I don’t get as much of the fruit besides a hint of citrus, but fragrances pull less sweet on me.

Longevity & projection is poor but this is a very inoffensive fragrance and I can see this as a signature & office scent. It’s very fresh & clean smelling. I’m scent sensitive and I would consider this a safe blind buy because it’s so wearable.

However, this isn’t worth the price and I would only buy this again if it was heavily discounted because you have to reapply like crazy.

TatianaChoco

Very nice fresh violet perfume. Violets are not powdery there, but green, fresh and ozonic and not overpowering. It is spring sunny perfume, but I wear it during autumn and it is suitable.

amg7613

Fresh, floral and fruity. I know this would have been my #1 vibe in 2007 when it came out, but I still like it now and would wear it. Upon initial spray it is almost effervescent, leafy and green. I saw that a note in here was violet leaf. One reviewer described as unripe banana peel as part of the scent and I completely agree! An easy wear for everyday, moderate sillage.

East River Pearl

Bright, sweet, and youthful. Reminiscent of Marc Jacob's Perfect but definitely creamier, I think from the gardenia note, where Perfect has a peppery quality. The jasmine and citrus combination in Daisy also reminds me somewhat of Armani's Ocean di Gioia. In all cases, a feminine, youthful, office appropriate scent. Perhaps too sweet for those who are sensitive to that.

XOXO_marcel

Delicate, feminine, and lighthearted. Great for someone with girly taste who doesn't want to go overboard. It's modern, fun, and simple.
I can't make out any of Daisy's listed notes; it's so evenly blended that nothing in particular takes prominence. It reminds me of the scent of a fresh unripe banana peel, an impression I also get from Lancome's "Idole", although Daisy is a bit colder, maybe even a little waxy.
This would be a safe gift for any woman (or, of course, for a man who likes to branch out). It's very much the "white t-shirt" of the perfume world - a scent that works on any person, for any occasion, with any outfit. A modern classic. I don't plan on purchasing this since it doesn't interest me much and I already have a low-key, everyday perfume, but it could work for others who are looking for something in that category.

velvetdoe

suchhh a pretty fragrance 🥰 reminds me of a friend who would wear it, and the strawberry and grapefruits notes are just <3 amazing. because i know someone who wears it i probably wouldn’t buy it for myself, but i do like it a lot.

Ariq0522

I LOVE THIS!!! It's a perfect everyday daytime scent for me. because, I live in a very humid/ tropic country, I usually find very typical floral fragrance that I usually love like coco mademoiselle to be too strong in the daytime. And it smells so good.it's a very light floral fresh fragrance that's super easy to wear, I also could just wear this while wearing my usual attire which usually consists of t-shirts and jeans

Enrium

One of the biggest perfume success stories of the 21st century, Daisy surely owes a lot of its success to its distinctive, even iconic bottle that is equal parts beautiful and cute. This is not to say that the scent itself is bad - quite the opposite in fact. While it has mass appeal - being fresh, sweet, light and unchallenging - it is pretty and pleasant throughout. It is familiar, given its popularity, and it is a fairly generic floral-fruity, albeit a good one. The name has always perplexed me, as it doesn't smell of daisies at all, but the bottle alone justifies the concept.

Daisy opens with a sweet strawberry note, freshened by some light citrus. A prominent violet note emerges early on, light and lovely, more dewy and green than powdery and melancholic. It is joined by some barely-there sweet white florals.

As it develops, soft woody notes ground it somewhat, while vanilla enhances the sweetness. It becomes sweetly musky as it fades, pleasant and subtle throughout. Sillage is fairly intimate and longevity is moderate.

A subtle, feminine daytime fragrance, Daisy is fuss-free yet elegant. Simple and linear, but nicely composed, it is equal parts sweet and fresh. A pretty decent floral-fruity. More Violet than Daisy. 3/5.

Shaina87

I've owned a couple of bottles of this over the last 10 years and I haven't worn it much in the last couple of years. So I decided to wear it today since it's hot and sunny and I wanted something floral but a little fresh and aromatic. It smells nice, a bit generic but still nice. It's very fresh floral. But it doesn't last on me AT ALL. It's been maybe 45 minutes since I applied it (2 sprays per arm/wrist + the front and back of my neck and 1 spray on my shirt) and I can't smell it on my wrists/arms anymore and it's barely on my shirt. What a waste.

AquaJima

This is the type of perfume is good for all ages, all seasons and situations. It has a sweet strawberry that feels very green but all in all I can’t imagine somebody being offended by this.

I saw a woman on YouTube saying this gives her “streetwear, cool girl, skater girl vibes” and she is not wrong. This evokes a 14 year old girl who just took a fresh shower 🧼 and she smells fresh and clean and now she is leaving the house with her hair dripping wet.

The reasons why this perfume is appropriate for all ages is because its very discreet. Is not childish young but is also far away from maturity. Is simple, non pretentious and feminine, yes, but also with just a slight touch of androgyny. Is not your overpowering floral, nor is it motherly. Is also not necessarily sexy (at least not in a maneater way). This beauty still has a point in which it misses self awareness, she hasn’t realized her potential. She is not manipulative. She has a clean spirit and peace in her heart. She has nothing to prove and is full of life, HER LIFE, not that of another.

If you want to own only one perfume and be done, because you are too busy living to worry about perfume, this is is an excellent option. It will serve you well in all situations, climates and seasons of life.

If it lasts little on you, try spraying it on your hair while it’s dry. Oh my skin stays for 2 hours, but in my hair is around 8.

fragranceboy97

Never been one to jump at a floral fragrance but picked up a 30ml bottle of Daisy for quite cheap so finally decided to try it. I am impressed! Will be a HUGE winner in the warmer weather! Can’t believe I never tried this sooner.

**UPDATE
I have since purchased a 100ml bottle because I love it so much. I think soft and simple scents are going to be huge next summer.

Laralaritaaa

Fresh, tender floral. Very heavy on the violet notes and magnolia. It's a delicate, soft scent. Quite dreamy and naive aswell. I like it, but I much prefer Daisy Eau so Fresh. They smell the same on the drydown, but the opening of ESF is mouthwatering.

heather62

My daughter in law wears this and it is beautiful on her. She recently had a baby and it occurred to me that it might be good for me to have a bottle, too. I have the dupe for this from Instyle Fragrances, which I bought at Walgreens. I love love this and wear it frequently and will repurchase. It is gorgeous and inoffensive. This should be okay for office wear or in the car. I can see this being a signature fragrance, if I were only capable of such a thing.

afterburnerz27

This is my partner's signature scent. I'm not a huge signature scent person, but she wears this one, and it smells like daisies and fresh cut grass to me. Pairs great for when I wear Green Irish Tweed. Really pleasant smell that I associate with the person who is most important in my life.
