"Make some noise for Olivier," screamed Kanye West into the roaring crowd of fashion editors and fans at Madison Square Garden at the listening party for his new album and Yeezy Season 3 fashion show, which started a bit over an hour ago in New York.
The live stream is taking place right now at New York Fashion Week, and a staggering 20 million people are watching it on Tidal (you can tune in here), and according to a rep from Tidal: "With over 20 million people logging in at once to stream the show, there were tech issues from AMV, the provider with service from Akamai. Any viewers still having issues can refresh their browsers or set it to a lower streaming level."
In other major news, Lamar Odom joined the Kardashian and Jenner crew at the show. Kim Kardashian West, North, Karlie Kloss, Melanie Griffith, Olivier Rousteing, and Anna Wintour watched the Vanessa Beecroft-designed performance piece, featuring male and female models outfitted in sports-inspired fashion, as West narrated the effusive crowd through his new album. "Tell me about what you think about the clothes this season," said West.
The Kardashians and Jenners, all dressed in shades of cream, exited the venue at 5:26 P.M., while the event went on. Models, who stood in position for over an hour looked tired and sometimes took breaks sitting.
