Before we start: You know how I know Maria is really an everygirl? When she stopped by Glamour HQ a couple of weeks ago and saw a group of editors trying out foundations in the conference room, she got so excited she ran in, tweeted a pic, and exclaimed, "It's so cool that you guys really do that!" But you know what? We think it's cool that Maria thinks it's cool. A jaded celeb she's not, that's for sure! Now, for her DOs and DON'Ts!

DO...

*Attempt to create win-win scenarios to get what you need and to get ahead.

*Run your life like a business. Your life is the corporation and you are the CEO.

*Keep things in check. Organization is the key to happiness. Lazy people end up working the hardest [to catch up].

DON'T...

*Forget that taking a chance is risky. Base decisions on worst-case scenarios; hope for the best but plan for the worst.

*Waste time. Carry a sense of urgency in your day.

*Forget to grow. If you're not growing, you're dying. Remain open to learning and to new experiences.

Pretty good advice, don't you think? Maria's definitely got it together! Now, for the chat: All you have to do to talk live with Maria is head over to the Glamour Facebook wall TODAY from 3-3:30 PM ET. We hope to see you there--and while you're thinking of questions, be sure to "like" Maria on Facebook and follow her on Twitter!
