Why Body Worlds is the place to visit in London

Trust us, you won't have seen anything like it before.

To try something new in 2020, visit Body Worlds London. This exhibition, which has been touring the world and has now settled in the former London home of Ripley’s: Believe It or Not, is the work of Gunther von Hagens, a German anatomist.

It is comprised of human and animal corpses and anatomical pieces, which have been preserved through plastination (they are covered in plastic!). Unsurprisingly, this exhibition is not for the squeamish. But von Hagens claims that all human specimens were obtained with full knowledge and consent of donors before they died.

Discover the beauty beneath your skin as you discover what's inside. Expect a unique, exciting and interactive experience, which has been described as ‘emotional’, ‘extraordinary’ and even ‘life-changing’. Learn about the impact of your lifestyle and diet, and how our bodies react to our behaviour.

Open 365 days a year, there has never been a better time to visit this 'must-see' exhibition which will inspire you to rethink how you look at your body. You can even sign yourself up for plastination if you like the exhibit so much that you want to be there forever!

Body Works is the perfect mix of educational and artistic, for those that want to learn about their bodies without undertaking medical school!
