Nothing completes a red carpet look more than having perfect skin, and I always talk about how to achieve an A-list glow on the face but when it comes to an event or the red-carpet, I always ensure my celebrity clients have an incredible body complexion, too. To find out what products I keep in my own bathroom, and what I like to use on my clients for smooth and radiant skin, read on…

One of the key things to getting a flawless complexion on the body is to exfoliate. I do this every two to three days using an in-shower body exfoliator to slough off dead skin cells (my favourites are ESPA’s Exfoliating Body Polish, and Fresh’s Original Brown Sugar Scrub, which smells divine). Dry body brushing every evening also helps by boosting blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.

I love making my shower experience super luxe, and like to use kind-to-skin but deliciously scented shower gels and foams such as Diptyque Eau Rose Shower Foam or Byredo’s Bal d’Afrique Shower Gel. They completely transform your bathroom, and leave skin cleansed and beautifully scented. If my skin is feeling particularly dry, I’ll reach for a more nourishing product like L’Occitane’s Shea Shower Oil which gives your skin a silky smooth texture.

Post-shower, a good moisturiser is so important. During my pregnancy, I’ve loved using the Clarins Stretch Mark Minimiser which is incredibly rich without feeling sticky or uncomfortable, followed by the Treatment Oil which helps with preventing stretch marks while keeping my skin super hydrated. In general, I’m a big fan of oils, the leave skin feeling comforted and soft, especially in the winter months. I love natural beauty brand Tata Harper‘s Revitalising Body Oil as it’s packed full of antioxidants. For a real skin treat full of nourishing ingredients that’s also beautifully scented, I adore Chantecaille Rose De Mai Body Oil.

For a truly body-transforming treatment, I always recommend these two products to my celebrity clients and friends. The Alleven Total Body Serum targets cellulite and refines the skin for a tight and toned finish. The texture of this sculpting body serum is so velvety-soft, non-sticky and absorbs quickly. If uneven skin is more your concern, the Chantecaille Retinol Body Treatment is a great overnight body moisturiser that deeply hydrates while retinol gently exfoliates the skin for a smoother complexion.

My red carpet staple is the Alleven Glow. I can’t go without this in my makeup kit, and my celebrity clients love it as it makes their skin look airbrushed and flawless. The added glow adds a lightly shimmering veil over the skin. I use this anywhere on the body where skin is showing and it looks beautiful in photographs. It covers uneven skin tones, bruises and even some tattoos! And best of all, won’t transfer onto clothing.

Lastly, for extra highlight and to really make the high points of the body pop, just like on cheekbones, I use Fenty Bomb on décolletage, collarbones and tops of shoulders.

Top tip: dust a little highlighter down the centre of arms and legs for slender looking, glossy limbs.
