With seven floors this is the biggest library in the Netherlands.

The biggest library in the Netherlands is located just east of Amsterdam Central Station. The building overlooks the water the IJ and is great if you want to do a little study session or go see the gorgeous interiors that are completely free to hang out in.

With seven floors the library has a collection of 1,5 million books, cd’s, games and more. Even if you aren't using the library for research or studying, it's a cherished place amongst the locals (as well as photographers for the interior design of wavy book shelves).

On the seventh floor, there is a restaurant where you can get different kinds of food and coffee. But the city's best kept secret? From this restaurant, you'll get a magnificent view of Amsterdam's historical city centre.
