In the centre of Utrecht lies this beautiful park, surrounded by water and classic houses.

Especially on a summer day, this is a spot you might enjoy while being in Utrecht. While walking through this park you will find some Utrechters coming by themselves and reading a book in the shade of a tree, some kids playing at the playground, a group of friends playing some football while having a barbecue, or a couple just enjoying the sun.

On some days there are even bands playing live music on the little stage in the middle of the park!

But Park Lepelenburg is not just enjoyable in summer. If the temperature gets a bit colder, it is perfect to get yourself a coffee to-go and stroll around the park, or put on your running shoes and go for a run like a lot of locals do here.

If you're lucky, during the winter the canals may freeze over making it the perfect place for ice skating.
