Kanye West has been in the headlines recently due to a leaked documentary where he shares his theories on the Illuminati and their impact on the music business; the documentary was recorded after the Ye album in 2018.

Back in 2018, West was also producing several other albums, including Nas (Nasir), Pusha (Daytona), and Teyana Taylor's K.T.S.E.; during one of the scenes, Ye was on a phone call with Scooter Braun, his former manager.

During the call, Kanye demanded to be released from the G.O.O.D. Music label that he founded in 2004, claiming he gave some of his best beats to the artists he was producing.

Ye was seen upset while saying "And Scooter, ain't gonna be no, 'Oh, I'm still putting my name on this shit.' I need to get rid of G.O.O.D. Music 'cause I'm great. And guess what? Good is the enemy of great."

West kept on going into beat details with his then-manager, adding: "I'm the greatest mutha**' artist living and I could do everything! And I'm not being expanded and my vision is not being expanded to what it is. I'm performing at other people's festivals and shit. I've been wanting a fucking festival."

Later in the documentary, the Donda rapper riffed about how he thinks that by not composing her own music, she is participating in a ploy orchestrated by the Illuminati.

Ye says on a call "That's why fucking Cardi B was over there. Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati. She doesn't write her raps. She's just there to sound as ignorant as possible, and then make songs like fuck 'em and then get some money.

"She has literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposely, that they put her there. And now she doesn't know what to do and she's just a fucking - she has no idea what the fuck is going on. She thinks it's just a blessing from the universe. Ain't no blessing from the fucking universe." He said.

It seems that Cardi B responded to his comments on Sunday by posting an interview where Kanye was saying "My cousins was saying come by here yesterday but I was finishing that verse for your girl," he said "I always believed in her since she was on the show, period." Refering to Cardi's participation in Love & Hip Hop NY.
