Rosie is a 32-year-old British comedian, actor and writer from Bridlington in Yorkshire.

Her stand-up comedy sets typically focus on her life as a gay, disabled woman from Yorkshire.

She previously told BBC Sounds podcast Duvet Days : "Growing up, there was nobody in TV or radio that looked like me – that sounded like me.

"There was Francesca Martinez in Grange Hill, but that was the only person really.

"And also my sexuality came into that, like when there was a disabled person they were very much the victim and they didn’t have a sexuality, they were very much the stock disabled person.

"That meant growing up, I didn’t accept my sexuality because I thought I’m not gay and disabled."

What is Rosie Jones' disability?

The comedian has ataxic cerebral palsy, a brain condition that affects the cerebellum.

The cerebellum is responsible for bodily coordination, and those living with the condition have difficulty coordinating their arms, legs and torso.

The condition is present in 5-10% of cerebral palsy cases and it can cause tremors throughout the body which can be more pronounced as movement increases.

It can also cause speech impediments.

Rosie often incorporates her disability into her stand-up sets and she has previously opened with the line: “As you tell by my voice, I’m northern.”
