Madonna and Kylie Minogue Finally Unite

Two power players in the pop world have finally come together in a moment four decades in the making.

Madonna and Kylie Minogue have finally performed together, giving fans what they have wanted for years.

The pop divas, who both kicked off their careers in the 1980s, joined forces at Madonna's Inglewood, Los Angeles, concert as part of her Celebration tour.

The pair performed a cover of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" followed by an a cappella version of Minogue's hit "Can't Get You Out of My Head" as the crowd roared in excitement.

In videos shared on social media, Madonna—who has a guitar slung around her—walks over to Minogue as they're singing to grind on her as Minogue laughs and joins in.

"Kylie and Madonna. I don't have words at the moment. Just being sent videos ..." posted pop-music writer Bradley Stern to X, formerly Twitter.

Minogue wore a T-shirt with Madonna's name emblazoned on it, likely to commemorate when Madonna did the same for her 24 years ago at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

The Aussie pop star later posted a video of herself dancing in the crowd and footage of the duo performing. Minogue also noted that their duet came ahead of International Women's Day on March 8.

"MADONNA. It's been a long time coming!!! LOVED being with you!!!!" Minogue wrote on Instagram, adding, "THANK YOU and LOVE LOVE LOVE."

Minogue has previously discussed the chance of the pair collaborating.

"That would be incredible. It's like maybe the world would stop mid orbit! Yeah, it would be incredible. I don't know if it would ever happen. Maybe it's something that will live in our imagination," Minogue told HuffPost UK in 2014.

The official Instagram account of the Kia Forum, where the concert was held, celebrated the historic moment.

"No better way to celebrate #InternationalWomensDay than these 2 Queens linking up to perform this classic. This is history," it wrote alongside a video of the stars singing together.

Social media users reacted to the moment on X.

One person wrote: "Madonna and kylie minogue performed together and kylie wore a madonna shirt similar to the one that madonna wore in 2000?! THIS IS SO FULL CIRCLE."

Another added: "Kylie wearing the same outfit Madonna wore to the 2000 MTV EMA's with Madonna's name written on the shirt is the most iconic thing ive seen in a while."

A user commented: "AFTER YEARS WE FINALLY GET MADONNA AND KYLIE SINGING 'I WILL SURVIVE' can you believe? two biggest survivors who did NOT give up and kept going, my favs ever."
