The Van Goghs are more... - The Van Goghs are more accessible to the viewer than in any other museum. The sculpture garden is too big for only one day

Must see art collection - The Kroller Muller Museum is a must for Vsn Gogh & impressionist art lovers. The fabulous sculpture gardens are a bonus. It's an expensive outing but worth it.

Visiting Hogge Veluwe and the Kroller Muller Museum was the high point of my trip to Amsterdam. - Everything about this trip was wonderful. Directions were clear, John (tour guide) gave me lots of good and interesting information, I had ample time to bicycle in the park and the museum was easy to navigate and had a fine collection of Impressionism paintings.

Pleasant day outside of Amsterdam - Our tour guide Jan really made this trip a great day. We enjoyed his commentary on the way to the museum, as well as in the park. He gave us a tour around the grounds and interesting background on the museum . He was very flexible about our scheduling and we greatly appreciated that. In fact the team at The Tour company answered all of our questions properly and I would recommend them.

Great museum but a rip off road toll. - The museum is really excellent. One of the biggest collections of Van Gogh paintings anywhere. However the big downside is the ridiculous charge imposed by the owners of the approach road to the museum. The cost of a car and 2 passengers to go the last 2 miles is £30. It only cost us £20 to then see a fantastic gallery of paintings and a sculpture park. I tried to get a sensible explanation from the De Hoge Veluwe but it was not forthcoming. I don't like being held to ransom and will take every opportunity to criticise this confidence trick.

Overpriced - I would first like to say there is really nothing wrong with this tour other that I think it is WAY over priced. Our guide was very nice and informative, the van was in good condition. But literally he drove us to the museum, dropped us off at 10:00am, gave us our tickets and then said he would be back at 3:00pm to pick us up. No other guidance was given as to how to explore the museum or related grounds. The ticket paid for admittance to the museum, but not the audio guide. The art within the museum and adjacent sculpture garden is really quite excellent and worth the trip. A missing piece here is that there is no guidance to be found as to how to enjoy the national park. There are apparently tons of paths and things to see, but the information is not readily available and would have been nice if this tour at least provided this information. When our guide picked us up, he took us over to the 'weekend' home of the Kroller-Mullers which is within the park. We were only able to see the outside of the home as our tour did not include a tour of the house. Why? I have no idea. Overall, I definitely would NOT do this again. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get to this site from Amsterdam without a tour unless you are comfortable taking trains and a couple local busses. The site is DEFINITELY worth it. The tour is not.

Double payment for an experience. - To visit the museum you have to pay admission. To get to the museum you have to walk through a park. for this park you have to pay an additional entrance fee of a very high amount. You have to pay twice to get to the museum. This is not clearly marked on the museum's website. You also don't get an entrance fee back if you don't want to pay for the park.
