It seems you're nobody in the celebrity world these days if you don't have a fragrance and while Beyoncé could never be accused of being nobody, she's jumping on the perfume bandwagon all the same.

Packaged in a pretty and compact bottle, with hints of red and gold, Beyoncé's fragrance Heat is distinctive without being over-powering. It's gives a burst of freshness that lasts throughout the day, giving off a nice mix of florals and spices.

Heat is subtle enough to wear all day yet distinctive enough to make a passing impression, which is ideal. For me, a perfume is far too intense if you can smell it off yourself all day or if you have to be extremely sparing in the application for fear of getting that suffocating feeling from fragrance overkill! In contrast, Heat is light and sophisticated, much like the lady herself.

The only flaw I can find with this fragrance is the choice of promotional accessory that was included in the press pack to mark the launch. Inside was a very large and very tacky red and gold 'dress' ring which contained a solid fragrance.

If you like it then don't put this hideous ring on it!
