Je Résiste à tout sauf à la Tentation, Côtes-du-Rhône 2016, a white, is made from Roussanne, Viognier, Grenache Blanc. In the nose and on the palate it unveils very light notes of bitter almonds, of apricot, with hints of lemon and lime. The wine presents an interesting breadth and the length is underlined by a beautiful acidity. An aromatic and salivating aftertaste complement the pleasure provided by this wine.
The rosé, Une Petite Cuvée au Poil, Vin de France 2017, stands out. This 100% Grenache deserves some attention. With its aromas of flowers and raspberry, the nose unfolds with a lot of finesse. On the palate, among a lot of red fruits, the strawberry subtly gives a moreish touch. The freshness is there, playing with the acidity. The red L’Art & La Manière, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Saint-Gervais 2015, offers roasted notes, coffee, dark chocolate in the nose. Black fruits also. On the palate, the flavours of blueberry and blackcurrant get more precise, the chocolate asserts itself. The spices come up in the aftertaste, present, with a dominant note of juniper. The blend consusts of Grenache Noir, Shiraz, Carignan and Mourvèdre and presents perfectly mastered tannins. Undoubtedly the Collection is attractive and charming.
Sébastien Chabal reminds that he is the 81st wine growers of the cellar. He considers to work organic, even with biodynamics. He will be the only one within the cooperative. A challenge worth this high-level athlete. A relevant challenge with implicit friendship, sense of flavours and pleasure to discover together.
