This beautiful island is home to a special kind of magic mushroom that has some pretty amazing properties. Locals have been using psychedelic mushrooms here for centuries.
There’s some debate about what species Koh Samui mushrooms refer to. In most cases, Koh Samui refers to a particular strain of Psilocybe cubensis that was collected from the island of Koh Samui by the amateur mycologist Mushroom John Allen in the 90s. However, there’s also a separate species of psilocybin-containing mushroom found here called Psilocybe samuiensis, but it’s not common to find these mushrooms or their spores online.
Some experts place this Thai magic mushroom strain under the Mexicanae genus of psilocybe mushrooms rather than Psilocybe cubensis. If this were true, it would make Koh Samui mushrooms the only strain from the Mexicanaue genus that’s found outside North America
Gastón Guzmán, a Mexican mycologist and anthropologist, placed this mushroom in the Mexicanae category due to its rhomboid-shaped spores and its ability to grow sclerotia, a compact growth in the mycelium containing food reserves, which is an evolutionary trait that emerged from surviving extreme temperatures.
But most experts argue that Koh Samui mushrooms are, in fact, a strain of Psilocybe cubensis.

An excellent question. Check out our blog post for a full length writeup. A brief summary:
- Keep them cool & dry.
- Keep them labeled properly.
- Use them once the sterile seal is broken.
In as sterile an environment as possible, remove the luer lock cap from the syringe.
Next, remove the sterile needle from the sleeve and attach it to the syringe.
Finally, gently apply pressure to the syringe plunger to eject solution onto your preferred medium.
That’s correct! All spores dropped by the species Psilocybe cubensis, as well as many others in the Psiloctybe genus are classified as Magic Mushroom Spores.

Loved how quick I received my order. This shroom did amazing first week it got contaminated figured it was a fail, threw it in a cabinet and forgot about it, month later I remembered about that bag, so I go and check it and as u guessed it was fully fruited and ready for a first harvest. I got three harvest out of it. and one single mushroom wet weight was 118g
