Maritime façade in Cambrils

Cambrils

Tarragona

Cambrils is a coastal town on the Costa Daurada. Its life revolves around the port, which is dominated by an ancient defense tower. It is certified with the Family Tourism and Sports Tourism seal, thanks to the quality of its equipment.

The town has an area with single-family houses at the foot of a castle. This is the old fortress of the barony of Vilafortuny, today a summer resort. Before crossing La Rambla avenue, near the sea, visitors will see Telégrafo de l’Esquirol, a very well preserved lighthouse, which was used to communicate with other places on the coast using flags and lights. From the port, visitors can cross Garbí avenue to reach the inland parts of town. It is worth stopping at El Camí shrine, with a crypt and an adjoining watchtower.Cambrils is considered the gastronomic capital of the Costa Daurada for its high quality products and its more than 150 restaurants, which blend traditional cuisine and new trends. In addition, the beaches of Cambrils have been awarded the Blue Flag for the excellence of their maritime environment. The beaches are perfect for children, with hardly any waves, fine sand and a Miniclub. But the not so little ones can also have a great time and enjoy nautical activities, play on the volleyball and soccer fields and use the sea's floating platforms, among other activities.Sports lovers also have other options since Cambrils specialises in bicycle tourism, sailing, football and athletics. You can enjoy sports and nature all year round.
