I’ve used this product all summer long, and it’s a keeper. It’s Stila Lip Glaze, and I kept it in the utensil drawer nearest the stove (along with my powder brush, which I pretty much wore out in an effort to deshine myself) while I was filming the cooking segments so I could touch myself up between batches of gravy.

Here’s what I love about it:

* The dispenser/applicator: you just twist the bottom to force a little gloss at a time through the brush.
* The brush itself: it’s as soft as silk.
* The whole thing stays pretty darn neat and gloop-free, which is a concern with sticky lip gloss products.
* You can just do a quick swipe, which gives you just a tiny bit of gloss and color (enough to keep you from looking asleep) or you can really go to town and brush on a high gloss.
* The colors are nice but sheer
* It lasts quite awhile: I got this tube in May.

Stila Lip Glaze comes in tons of different colors, but this one–“Plum”–is my favorite. Not too pink, not too earthy.

You can find the stuff at Sephora, Amazon, even Zappos.

Or you can find it right on the Stila website:

(Fun trivia: Did you know the woman who started Stila Cosmetics is actor Anthony Edwards’ wife? Don’t ask me how I know these things.)

Not a paid advertisement. I just love this lip gloss, man.
