How many tattoos did Zombie Boy have? When did he start getting them?

The exact number is not known, but 90 percent of Rick Genest's body was covered.

Zombie Boy got his first tattoo aged 16 and it was a skull and crossbones on his arm.

As his inkings grew so did his fame and he started working in freak shows.

The model was so addicted to tattoos that almost his entire body were inked as well as a full facial tattoo of a skeleton and a zombie brain on his head.

His 176 insect tattoos earned him a Guinness World Record.

A Canadian tattoo artist called Frank Lewis was responsible for most of Zombie Boys inkings.

He had a massive 31 body parts inked:

  • Head, eyelid, face, ear, lip, neck
  • Collarbone, shoulder, chest, stomach, ribs
  • Hand, forearm, biceps, elbow, back palm, wrist, palm, fingers
  • Back, backbone, shoulder blade, lower back, tailbone
  • Leg, hips, knee, shin, back calf, ankle, feet

What were Zombie Boy's tattoos of?

Rick's tattoos were done to resemble a skeleton or a zombie.

His face was a skull and his body depicted a rotting corpse.

Rick also was covered in flies and other signs of decomposing.

His arms resembled bones and his fingers showed tendons.
